Why do people keep calling Wizards Witches
In the grimiore it says they are female I know but they are called Wizards in game and the grimiore cards still classy them as Wizards so call them what they are they are Wizards not witches

There's an obvious subliminal message hidden somewhere cause I say witches all the time. Maybe because in some missions you hunt covens of them? Maybe this is Bungies big attempt to blur the gender boundaries and teach a new generation of asshat kid gamers about equality for the sexes? Who cares

4 RepliesA female wizard is considered a witch in keeping with their theme of ancient lore. Look up preatorian. Those were Greek elite soldiers. Seems fitting. The whole wizard, witch, warlock thing confuses me. Warlocks are male witches. So when I see female warlocks I just laugh. So in all reality the Wizards are witches in this game. But it's just a game so I don't really get bent over small inconsistencies. But I think if they are digging through real life lore to name their characters they should stick with the truth.

For me. Wizards are male. Always have been. Witches are female. Always have been. Just because Bungie wants to call a witch a wizard doesn't mean I have to follow suit. They are witches.
