Why do people keep calling Wizards Witches
In the grimiore it says they are female I know but they are called Wizards in game and the grimiore cards still classy them as Wizards so call them what they are they are Wizards not witches

The story mission to defeat the 3 Syphon Witches where the Hive are doing a ritual with a shard of the Traveller... Why is this a big deal either way. If somebody says "witch" you know what they are talking about.

Because people can...it's a free world for most. So all of those who are free, they can call them witches whenever they want, end of story.

The same reason people keep calling the "Sleeper Simulant" the "Sleeper Stimulant" It's annoying, isn't it?

I don't know man, the Lost and Found mission has you kill a wizard and get the Tech Witch Brooch. It seems Bungie can't really keep them straight either.

as much money as i've spent on Destiny I can call a enemy anything I damn please. if anything you should be questioning Bungie. The names given to some of the enemies are pretty bone headed. Like calling a witch a damn wizard when it's obviously a witch in everything except name.

I know for me it was because the first time I heard a Wizard scream it reminded me of the witch from Left 4 Dead, and it kind of stuck.

Because people are lazy and don't care enough to clarify. As you read the book of sorrow it just clarifies further that knights are considered the male gender and wizards the female gender of the hive.

Because Harry Potter made everyone think that witches must be female and wizards are male- there is almost no other time in which this is used

Seemed to happen over the release of The Dark Below. Weren't there certain wizards that were actually called witches? It just makes more sense and feels more natural.

i do it because its easier to say while paying attention to other stuff (like saying adds when more enemies spawn in a fight) but i say both Wizard and Witch, just depends on how much crap is going on at the time for me.

In one of the missions you have to kill 3 wizards but they are named witches and even in the mission objective it is to kill the 3 siphon witches or something similar. This is why I sometimes refer to them as witches.
