I've been doing the 1st part of the Chaperone quest "Jolly Holiday" (which actually isn't as hard as people make it sound) and I wanna know if it's actually worth doing the quest to get this shotgun. Is it as good as people make it sound?

Just want to mention to the people who may dislike that it's not a one body shot shotgun that you can fire 3 or more shots to the felwinter style shotgun so in theory if you always double tap to be safe you can easily win. Where as the felwinter style shotgun punishes you if it doesn't one shot. Side note with field scout you get 14 shots to start with which is awesome!

Tried it out this morning and gets 2 thumbs up!
-
Just got mine this morning. To be determined...
-
I like it for mayhem because it can fire hella fast and does massive damage. It can drop any super such as bladedancer, sunsinger, stormcaller, and sunbreaker
-
Its good, but far from great. It could use a range boost. Not much, but little. It is a slug after all.
-
It's a beast if you use it right (ALL THE HEADSHOTS)
-
Picking mine up in a few hours, so I'll let you know, but considering the changes to No Backup Plans, I'm guessing it's pretty worth it.
-
Also want to know this. :)
-
Just got it!!! It was worth the struggle!!!!!
-
I -blam!- IN LOVE IT ITS ON MY HUNTER, it's a love it or hate it gun.
-
It's just a fun gun to mess around with. If you got used to hitting headshots with it it's probably really good
-
Dunno, I'm picking it up today. Finally got around to finishing the first part yesterday (just had never made it to the top of my "to do list"). Finished the rest of the quest off before bed so it'd be waiting there in the morning. Definitely not as impossible as lots seem to say it is (I'm a casual, but also got through Thorn just fine on my Titan). Just have to play defensively and less kamikaze than usual. :)

It's the only shotgun that you actually need to aim so it actually requires skill but if you have that skill you can wreck
-
For me it was worth it. I like it.
-
It was fun for a week or two but not its just collecting dust in the vault. Wild rather use 1000 yard stare for pve and would rather use my year two party crasher for pvp.
-
I don't think it is. But people said the sleeper wasn't worth a exotic slot and I love that gun. So to each his own!
-
I know the chaperone gets a lot of hate but I love that gun. I'm not the best pvp player but this gun has really changed how I play. After getting the chaperone I started placing first in matches, which is something I had never done before. Maybe I'm just getting lucky. lol

It took me 3 hours of pvp, I would wait till I had hammers than when I would die put the piece of crap handgun on and get 3-4 kills than I equip gun before I died. One spree I killed 7 in a row and gained 40% and some games I just made 1 or 2 percent. Also if I got heavy machine gun ammo i would equip it if no bad guys were around. I just got to the kill the twins part so I can't say yes or no but I hope it's worth it it was a huge pain in the ass to get pay that first part. I do like a challenge and that's why I kept going.

It's worth it. Headshots are CRUCIAL. If not a headshot, it leaves target with a sliver of health. Hunters throwing knife works well with it
-
I finished the whole quest line in an hour or two and I think the chaperone has sat in my vault since then
-
WILL SOMEONE ACTUALLY RESPOND!!!
-
It took me an hour play 6v6 classic they are bad
-
It's not hard at all so yeah
