Three of coins are a waste
I spent a lot of time and coins on the three of coins. In total I think I got like 30. I used them all and I only got 3 exotics. Every time I used one, I would make sure that I waited at least 15 to 20 minutes. I got a gauntlet engram. I was excited to turn that one in because I was 307 and I knew the item would be 310. When I turned it in I got a fvcking 290 exotic. Could someone explain to me why I got a 290 exotic if I'm 307? By the way, I should mention that I got it from that super knight on the dreadnaught. So if that effected the exotic to be 290 instead 310.

I get 1 engram for every 4-5 strange coins. Must be user error. Yeah, you're going to still get 290s. Suck it up princess.

One, 3oC are the shit. The only reason I'm 308 is because I infuse the exotics I get from them into my legendaries because the raid doesn't give me shit. Two, it only gives you a chance at 310, not 100%.

Since I hit 305 all my six engrams have given me 310 loot. Drop rate you mentioned seems about normal which cost you 14 strange coins for 10 ToC. Still cheaper than buying an engram from Xur at that rate.

Got my 310 jade rabbit today from 3oc and all my other exotics I've been really lucky with then a lot of 310s

Two things did you use three characters with 10 coins each or 30 on one character It makes a difference Even if you got 3 armor engrams that's 39 strange coins compared to 42 coins so waisting time and 3 coins if you got just one primary or special weapon you would be up on strange coins.

14 RepliesWell at least you got an exotic. I am in the middle of doing strikes to get exotics, I have done 15 so far today, and used a 3 of Coins in each one, and not one single exotic. Actually, I have yet to get an exotic drop at all from TTK. No matter how many strikes, missions, PVP, anything, I have yet to get one exotic drop. I don't think the 3 of Coins is worth it at all. I'll just wait to get it from Xur.

310 is not guaranteed. You are still at the mercy of randomness. Also, alternatively, you could stop using the ToC and see how many exotic engrams drop for you.

5 RepliesI don't understand why people complain about [i]only[/i] earning 6-10 exotics in a week. The drop rate used to be about 1 or 2 a week, and that was only if you played the end game content with all 3 characters.

21 coins used across 3 characters during last 3 days. 6 exotics. Mask of 3rd man, Celestial Nighthawk, alpha lupi for titan, Telesto, starfire protocol and don't touch me. 3 of them I'd already got but improving drops... tempted fate now.

5 RepliesThe last 3 days I've probably used 12-15 coins between the heroics, dailies and raids and have only gotten 2 engrams to drop.
