If they are so good why do that vast majority run around with a shotgun all the time, including you. Could it be the vast majority of maps are close quarters? Could it be that shotguns can kill WITHOUT headshots at range, could it be that hiding around a corner is a lot easier than aiming while being fired upon? Hmm seems quite clear why every noon uses a shotgun and think they are good, so let me ask you WHY DO YOU NOT USE ONE? The ONLY thing a sniper has over a shotgun is range, everything else a sniper is less powerful than a shotgun and the reason there is no drop off is because most of the maps are too -blam!-ing small, in combined arms you notice the drop off.
Recoil is equal depending on gun
Target acquisition is better on shotguns
Range better on snipers
Aim under fire is insanely better on shotguns
Hip fire insanely better on shotguns
Difficulty to use shotguns are massively easier
Rate of fire equal depending on gun
Impact no sniper can one shot to body
People who argue snipers are op are idiots, if they are op go -blam!-ing use one and see how well you do, all I use is a sniper because I prefer the challenge of AIMING instead of running up to someone and having a massive area of damage to hit.
