With all the Sunbreaker haters out there, I wanna see what Titan mains have to say about their subclass. [spoiler]y'know, i just remembered that curiosity did kill the cat[/spoiler] Edit: 50+ replies, keep 'em coming! The majority of you call for a slight armor nerf so more snipers and a GG shot can one shot it, which is pretty resonable. Edit 2: 100+ replies, let's keep going! Again, a lot of you call for the armor nerf, but I see some movement nerfs or Cauterize nerfs in there as well. Edit 3: Over 650 replies, holy crap. Again, as usual, armor nerfs take prevalence over all other suggestions. And to all not Titan mains, please revite accurately as to not screw with the poll. I seriously doubt less than 20% of voters are not Titan mains. Edit 4: STAP BLOWING UP MY PHONE PLZ But seriously, I'm glad to see so many people in this usually salty as -blam!- community being so positive and having polite debates. Shows we have hope for a few more years. Edit 5: Over 1,000 replies! Woot. Armor takes prevalance yet again, but some more movement speed during super nerfs have popped up here and there. Keep commenting guys!

  • Everyone's saying reduce the damage reduction What you DONT understand is that the resistance comes from the max armor that is magnified by the super I'd say yo drop the hammer count to 4-5, so its different from GG and doesn't gurantee massive slayer

      • I get killed while running sunbreaker and most of the time I get like 2 kills a super unless I get lucky and get multiple people but then again isn't that how most super are anyway?

      • I feel the splash could be lowered a bit. Also they need to redistribute the recovery and agility bonuses in the tree.

      • I'd say it needs less damage reduction. Nothing else is needed in my opinion, in this IB I have noticed that you can be taken down a bit easier when power matters. Golden Gun can 1 shot if they are a couple of levels higher and team shots are much more effective. This, of course, all addresses the amazing super. The rest of the class is a bit underwhelming, although I've found myself enjoying incendiary grenades after some practice.

      • I'm a hunter main(I know I'm not technically supposed to be commenting.) I hope they just slightly tweak it to make it a little more balanced. I hope they don't nerf it to badly because I want the Titans to have a viable pvp subclass. After what they went through in year one they deserve one.

                      I think this is qualified as an overhaul, but would make the class more balanced, but not nerfed: Switch a few of the super only perks out for ones that give us passive/non-super advantages. Right now, it's easy to use only perks that benefit the super, because we really only have one or two good non-super perks. Make us pick between using the hammer as this destroy-all thing once/twice a match and having useful upgrades for the entire match. Strikers (unless they have Helm of Inmost Light) have to pick between that ridiculous damage resistance while using the super that everyone complains about, shoulder charge, and a shield while sprinting. That's where you pick between that useful all time perk and that twice a game thing that makes your super nearly impossible to stop. Sunbreakers don't have those choices, so they just pick the best one, which ends up being a super only perk (Cauterize is the exception, but it still is used for the super more than anything else). Tl;Dr- Make it so the sunbreaker has to choose between the perks that make the super as powerful as it is and useful perks that affect other abilities or grant passive perks, making it so they pick between a good all-around class and a great super class.

                    • Armour reduce so one high impact sniper(ldr, her benevolence, 1000y) headshot can kill. Same as all other roaming supers. [spoiler]I've hit one with a litc headshot and not killed them[/spoiler]

                    • The titan is just the most noticed but all 3 new supers are overpowered. Bungie wanted to make sure no one used the old classes for some stupid reason. Sunbreaker is my least favored of the three. I don't care what they do to it. I play defender in pve and striker or defender in pvp. The new subclasses are poorly designed in terms of balance. They are all over the top.

                      • the armor is too high, it needs to be scaled down just enough to make one shot snipers possible.. or... i would say do something about the regenerating health after kills, maybe give it a diminishing return effect after the first kill

                      • A little nerd! U guys are crazy!!! 7+ hammer to throw! A hammer is almost stronger then a rocket and the sunbreaker have the highest dmg resist! I can get a 10 killing spreed with zero issues!

                        Sunbreakers are fine. The problem isn't the sub class itself. It's that everyone is used to being able to Shotgun Melee Bladedancers and Sunsingers and this is the one extended super class they can't do that to without Final Round and all the pellets hitting the noggin. It's really everyone's fault for using shotguns all the freaking time. Git gud and use a sniper. Team shotting is also really effective so play with friends and make call outs so everyone knows where they are at. Sticking a Sunbreaker with a fusion actually does more damage than you might think. You just need to change your play style and stop being such a freakin Shotgun Warrior. EDIT: I play all three subclasses. EDIT2: Also, you realize that Sunbreakers are only Gods if they spec into Max Armor? If they don't they can literally be one shot by 1000 Yard and GG. Nova and Fist of Havoc can do it while they have Max Armor already.

                        • Nothing at all. Because what they nerf in pvp comes over into the pve side effectively making something awesome into sh*t because of crybabies. It's a super, run. [u]Maybe, MAYBE, increase the damage the other classes' supers put out to be able to kill a Sunbreaker Titan. Maybe a class buff would be better than a class nerf.[/u] #deej If not, go play call of duty and drink your Mountain Dew. I've Titan smashed nova bombing warlocks where I died and they walked away with half health. In the words of wise men and women: Git gud scrubs. Titans getting all the grills.
