With all the Sunbreaker haters out there, I wanna see what Titan mains have to say about their subclass. [spoiler]y'know, i just remembered that curiosity did kill the cat[/spoiler] Edit: 50+ replies, keep 'em coming! The majority of you call for a slight armor nerf so more snipers and a GG shot can one shot it, which is pretty resonable. Edit 2: 100+ replies, let's keep going! Again, a lot of you call for the armor nerf, but I see some movement nerfs or Cauterize nerfs in there as well. Edit 3: Over 650 replies, holy crap. Again, as usual, armor nerfs take prevalence over all other suggestions. And to all not Titan mains, please revite accurately as to not screw with the poll. I seriously doubt less than 20% of voters are not Titan mains. Edit 4: STAP BLOWING UP MY PHONE PLZ But seriously, I'm glad to see so many people in this usually salty as -blam!- community being so positive and having polite debates. Shows we have hope for a few more years. Edit 5: Over 1,000 replies! Woot. Armor takes prevalance yet again, but some more movement speed during super nerfs have popped up here and there. Keep commenting guys!

  • Titan main here, and honestly the subclass revolves around the super. Sunbreaker is pretty much dealing massive damage and taking massive damage. If you look at the other passive perks. Nothing seems to stand out. [b]However[/b], IMO I don't think any super should survive a GG shot or high impact sniper shot. So, to satisfy hunters and some warlocks tweak the armor. [spoiler]Bungie usually goes overboard with nerfs for some reason.[/spoiler]

    • I've been a Titan from day 1, I think disabling the shield boost you gain from kills would solve the problem. Only disable it in PvP though, titans are suppose to be unstoppable and awesome, so it works well in PvE. There's got to be a way to do that.

      I almost exclusively play PvP and am a Sunbreaker (although I used to play Defender). There is no need for a massive nerf; the only changes needed are a one-hammer reduction (5-4 or 6-5 with Forgemaster), an increase to Super decay time (to force players to consider their environment and not be able to tank across a map), and a damage increase per-hammer (for PvE). There is no need to lower either damage or armour, as the former would invalidate the offensive nature of the Super and the latter would ruin the idea of being a Titan. If I spec for max armour to survive ONE (considering Defender bubbles can survive two, and Strikers can survive them as well) Golden Gun shot, I sacrifice an entire stat to do so, which is fair (especially considering a high-impact sniper can still headshot a HoS). At the same time, a slight Stormtrance duration nerf should be implemented, as well as better invisibility and movement for Bladedancers. The Hammer of Sol should be a fast, hard Super that sacrifices hit-scanning, range and duration for damage, armour and quantity.

    • They should drop the damage reduction to the point where snipers can one-hit headshot Sunbreakers like all the other roaming supers, but no more than that because they'd go overboard and nerf it into oblivion because Bungie

    • Everybody complains about the other classes that aren't theirs because they get killed by the supers. Supers are SUPER. If the other classed are so annoyed by the Sunbreaker, they should go ahead a blink theirway out of the situation and run the SB's timer down. I also suggest everyone play the other classes so they know each one's weaknesses. There are definitely ways out of it, so there is no need for a nerf just because the majority can't/won't figure out the ways around it.

      • Well I'm a hunter a main, but I don't think the damage reduction should happen at all. High impact snipers, black spindle and that omolon one, already one shot so I think golden gun should actually have an increased amount of damage in crucible so it one shots so that it stays as effective at tanking damage.

            Please, we know that "I'm not a Titan Main" option should be much higher. Just those minority Hunter adding their inputs. Here are my various ideas: -Put Cauterize, more Hammers and Tracking in the same column -Cauterize should activate on melee or grenade kills -Or every other kill with solar abilities -A very small tweak to our damage reduction A bunch of you idiots don't know how your stupid ideas would affect them in PvE. I swear, nearly all nerfs have come the PvP crowd. Ugh.

            • Not a Titan main, and have no issue with it as it is. Regularly solo shutdown Sunbreakers. The trick is to lay a decisive trap with the terrain.

                    its not my main but i used one for a week. id say leave it alone until titans are equally represented in the leaderboards (many have said that the vast majority at the top are wizards or hunters). then drop it to about 4-5 hammers max to keep things balanced. they have to be buffed for a short while to balance out leaderboard stats and become a competitive choice, then balanced out. gunslinger, blade dancer, voidwalker and to a somewhat lesser extent sunsinger (sunsingers get no super kills at all, just regular grenade and melee kills) were way to destructive for the titan classes to keep up in the leaderboards. the original imbalance that lead to needing this temporary buff is bungies fault for not releasing the 3 support classes (sunsinger, defender & nightstalker) simultaniously.

                    • Yes, the armor is rediculous. People should have a shot at killing the hammerman, just like they can kill the blade dancer, golden gunner, or sith lord.

                      Lower the armor a tad bit. I love how over powered it is. I mean come on titans are supposed to be the tank class. But it is ridiculous, a headshot should always one shot with a high impact sniper

                      • Titan main here. I acknowledge that the Sunbeaker is OP, if you know how to use it (I'm a pleb). I think the Super itself shouldn't get an adjustment, but the damage resistance we have while using the super should be scaled back a little. It should take 2 golden guns to kill us, that makes sense (2 golden guns pop the defender bubble), but it shouldn't be impossible to kill a sun breaker.
