With all the Sunbreaker haters out there, I wanna see what Titan mains have to say about their subclass. [spoiler]y'know, i just remembered that curiosity did kill the cat[/spoiler] Edit: 50+ replies, keep 'em coming! The majority of you call for a slight armor nerf so more snipers and a GG shot can one shot it, which is pretty resonable. Edit 2: 100+ replies, let's keep going! Again, a lot of you call for the armor nerf, but I see some movement nerfs or Cauterize nerfs in there as well. Edit 3: Over 650 replies, holy crap. Again, as usual, armor nerfs take prevalence over all other suggestions. And to all not Titan mains, please revite accurately as to not screw with the poll. I seriously doubt less than 20% of voters are not Titan mains. Edit 4: STAP BLOWING UP MY PHONE PLZ But seriously, I'm glad to see so many people in this usually salty as -blam!- community being so positive and having polite debates. Shows we have hope for a few more years. Edit 5: Over 1,000 replies! Woot. Armor takes prevalance yet again, but some more movement speed during super nerfs have popped up here and there. Keep commenting guys!

  • Instead of asking for a nerf why dont you ask for a buff in the other class. Outside the super the sunbreaker literally has nothing. Hunters have invis, tracking, a super that supress other supers, and a freaking dash Be honest ppl y'all want the sunbreaker nerf to the f'n ground with 2 hammers and no shields do u? Be honest

  • Reduce health by about 5%. It should not be the same as bladedancer and stormcaller because we are the tank class and should have more health. Also high impact snipers should one hit us in the head. The sunbreaker also needs a buff, a buff to the melee and the grenades and other perks. Grenades we should get are thermite, firebolt, and incindenary grenade. If possible completely get rid of thermite grenade. I love it but its bad in pvp. It should a a fire circle, to block off a certain part of the map, maybe like a lava field or a fiery pit of death dealing damage as they are in it like the solar grenade. Melting point for the melee is fine and very helpful but the other two perk are bad. The supers final perk is where the hammer lands it creates a sunspot. That is good but it should have the very final perk where when we stand in a sunspot it gives us an overshield along with the sunspot creation.

  • The problem is that the poll is not being answered by only titans, so we need to be mindful of assuming that titans actually feel this way. Oh well, Bungie will do whatever they decide is right, I suppose.

  • I say that the agility should be reduced: they still survive some snipers, they still break teams apart, but they can't go as far, like a scorpion tank

  • I love playing as a titan and I think it should be left alone in PvE. However the super is really OP in pvp. I think the active time should be reduced (same as golden gun), number of hammers reduced to 4-5, health regen should only proc once and the total health should be the same as a bladedancer (1 headshot kill with high impact sniper)

      There should be a slight nerf as anything major would call for a complete overhaul because most of it perks circulate around the super. Maybe a slight armor reduction and decreased duration. However leave it alone in PvE. (I main a Titan)

      • The Hammers should be more powerful each in favor of less Hammers thrown. That or the thrown hammers do less damage than a swung Hammer from Suncharge which reliably staggers majors. I cannot condone nerfs that would impact their effectiveness in pve. All other perks should be left as they are.

        • I think the health regen on kills could be tweaked. Either get rid of it entirely or limit its occurrence to trigger once during the super duration. They still have the sunspot over shield which can stay and is fine. Both together is a bit too much

          Honestly I think its fine. 8/10 times i use it in PVP i get only 2-3 kills before it runs out. There was only one time I can recall I got like 5+ and that was because the enemy team was stupid and practically huddled together in one spot. Then again, it could just be me.....

        • A reduction of damage resistance just enough so GG can one shot and high impact head shots as well. The most important part of this is PVP [b]ONLY[/b]. Unfortunately, Bungie seems incapable of separating the two game types, so I don't want a real nerf to prevent it from being total crap in pve

          • Not a titan but from what I've seen they need a slight health decrease. Every other super can be one-shotted by snipers or golden gun, why should sunbreaker be any different?

          • Either make health regeneration proc on minions of darkness or remove the tank health.

          • I'm a sunbreaker titan and I get one shotted by shotguns and snipers almost every match most likely because I suck

          • The Warlock Ram helmet trigger the Voidwalker's health regeneration effect after punching anything and then has to wait five seconds for the effect to cooldown before triggering it again. The health regeneration start immediatly and will be canceled right away if damage is received just like usual. Putting a cooldown just like that to the Sunbreaker healing effect might be enough (it could be a 3 second-long cooldown if 5 seconds is too long).

          • Personally I think they should leave the damage resistance alone and just take away the ability to throw the hammer. Make it like a tanky bladedancer just with less stealth and maneuverabilty. This would allow people to have a much better chance of killing them from a distance with snipers or other supers.

            • I think an interesting change would be to modify cauterize so that damage resistance during the super is lower with the perk equipped. You can still regain health upon kills, but you wouldn't have the crazy amounts of damage resistance that make cauterize so hard to deal with. This change seems to be consistent with Bungie's year 2 philosophy of having perks with tradeoffs.

            • As much fun as it is I think the over shield should go. That would make the super much easier to shutdown.

              • I've been a titan main since I discovered my love for being a walking tank of destruction in Dark Below. I played Striker exclusively for ages, and then found respect for Defender and basically only play as one now. That said, I don't really care for the Sunbreaker subclass or its abilities, so I rarely play mine. I recommend a slight nerf so that everyone will quit bitching about it on the forums and find something else to whine about again.

                  Speaking as a competitive player since destiny's launch, I fully expect people to disagree with me and provide other horse shit "solutions", but here's mine: -Reduce armor to blade dancer/sunsinger (so Sunbreakers can be golden gunned or shotgun melee'd) -Slightly reduce the "grenades and horseshoes" proximity detonation radius from Forgemaster. -Reduce the base amount of super energy, allowing a maximum of 5 hammers WITH forge master and 20 seconds Idle, or 4 hammers and 15-20 seconds idle without forge master. (Currently forge master provides 25 seconds/6 hammers)
