After a year of Destiny being THE game and how it got me through my post graduation blues and filled up my free time while I found my career, I think it's time I said goodbye.
I might return again one day but I just wanted to say a few words before I shelved my disk and brought back some old favorites.
I will miss hunting Fatebringer and making friends with randoms on LFG while we laughed over failures in the Vault and experienced epic glitches and desperate lagging.
I will miss learning how to run Crota with my good friend, Edge, as he taught me the ends and outs of SwordBearing, commenting how much we loved the epic music that played when it came time to kick Crota in the balls.
I will miss the resource grinding I did a year ago this fall and the load out hunts I did as I wrestled with my two alts.
I will miss my epic Iron Banner gear (only ever got the Titan chest piece since I found it amazing and I hate that I had to give it up) and the work that went into ranking up.
I will miss my original clan, back when I had my Xbox 360 before I upgraded and the fun we had at the side of Lady Kaos and her amazing ability to put fireteams together.
Mostly I think I will miss the hours spent hunting unique and rare weapons, of having a goal to get the perfect load out for each of my characters and the friends I made along the way.
Year two will have to move along with out me, too many things have been left behind for me to enjoy the new, the hunt for the next great item is long passed and the days of the long drive gone. Only to be replaced with endless upgrading of light instead of hunting the best loot.
I wish my fellow Guardians luck, have fun, play hard and enjoy what keeps you here. This last year has been one of the best I've had since my Halo: Combat Evolved days.
Hopefully I'll find a reason to return one day,
MillionPoet,
