The theory is that The ahamkara, and the worms are connected somehow. For example, on all the ahamkara gear there's a description that ends in "Oh bearer mine". Well in Calcified fragment V the last two paragraphs say:
"1. It was my fathers familiar. I ripped it from him as we fled. It is a dead white thing, segmented, washed up from the deep sea."
Talking about the worm that their father had.
"2. It's dead, but it still speaks to me. It says: Listen closely, oh vengeance mine..."
And in XII "Out of the deep" in the last sentence: "Reality is a fine flesh, oh general ours, let us feast of it."
That phrase is used by the worms a few more times in the grim, but I don't remember where.
I see a connection, I just don't know what to make of it...
