Same exact thing happened to me 2 nights ago on my hunter. Received the feast of essence from the heroic strike target kill, went to the tower to get the weapon, turned the quest in to Eris, she gave me a rune??? Quest is gone and no weapon, I'm very upset. I have been with Bungie since Halo and I have received no response to calls for help...
