So, I was just thinking about Tress coming to hang out and sell us premium emotes for money. And how the Destiny community is for the most part accepting of it, provided that it is just cosmetic.
How strange though...
Months ago, Evolve came out and the gaming community shunned/attacked it because it had a ton of cosmetic content that were micro-transactions. The argument was, 'why not include it with the game if we're paying $60 bucks?'
But here we are, same story, different game, and almost no one seems to care cause it isn't pay-to-win and we get a free taste.
People are becoming dependent on Destiny and this addiction is allowing standards and practices that wouldn't fly in other games to run rampant.
Just food for thought!

Edited by AndyCandy88: 10/13/2015 11:05:54 PMAs someone who really like evolve (at first) these two games aren't comparable at all. Even vanilla destiny gives a lot more content for the money. But I will agree with the premise that evolve tried to sell something that should have been included in the pricey game and it bit them in the a$$. With all the speculation that Bungie/Activision will ultimately abuse the system here too, they'd best be careful. Otherwise they'll alienate their core and no one will be back for the next full game release.
