An AR-15 in the hands of a wrong person is just as dangerous .22 cal pistol.
This is demonstrably false. Can you kill a person with one .22 round to the head? Sure. But an AR-15 will rip a whole in you. If will sever your spine. It will sever your femur, the strongest bone in your body. I know, I've seen the results.
By the way there's 2 key words that sentence but I doubt you will see it with how narrow sighted you are in regards to guns.
You're trying to be clever. I know you're referring to the "wrong hands." As am I.
You're right you can buy a gun at a gun show with out a backround check IF it's through a private sell. Not everyone at gun shows are private dealers only about 5% to 10% are the rest are authorized gun dealers and they do background checks oneveryone.
So you're ok with "only" 5% to 10% of guns potentially going into the wrong hands?
Anyway I'm fairly certain your political standings are somewhere out in left field and I know no amount of facts and evidence no matter how much is literally spoon fed down your throat you will still disagree and form yet another stupid and completely outrageous analogy comparison to how (guns) are the issue so I hope you enjoyed the read but I'm muting you have a great day with that limited Brain of yours.
I'm not left. I just don't feel the need to place our police in danger. The police believe that AR-15s and similar weapons are military grade. Not me, the police. The police support the limitation of these weapons. Not me, the police. I can think of nothing more right wing then supporting our law enforcement, which is all I am trying to do. http://newsok.com/police-chief-laments-criminals-access-to-military-style-guns/article/3532764 "Citty states that he sees “no practical reason” why a civilian would need an AR-15 or similiar military-style weapon." http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/beck-lapd-ammunition-ban-nra-117261943.html "There is no reason that a peaceful society based on rule of law needs its citizenry armed with 30-round magazines," Police Chief Charlie Beck said at a news conference, adding that the clips transform a gun "into a weapon of mass death rather than a home-protection-type device.'' http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-26787991.html Shouldn't you want to protect our police also?
