Apparently there are a host of issues that Bungie needs to resolve which for those severely impacted I.e. cannot play at all, this is an unfortunate systemic problem in Bungie's ability (or rather inability) to properly QA their software. This because they announce release dates well in advance as part of project timelines forcing developers to shortcut to meet deadlines which results in sketchy code in some areas. The most egregious fault against management is throwing Microsoft under the bus for their shortcomings, redirecting their customers to Xbox Support etc. when in fact there have been no (for example) licensing changes on the part of MSFT. It becomes a process of pointing fingers however with the release of TTK.... really who has all the moving parts right now? That would be Bungie.
Better would be to admit "we effed up some things, we're working on it and our first priority are those that cannot access DESTINY in its entirety since it's release." If that means postponing Iron Banner and whatever else they could add to potentially break even more things then so be it. While Bungie is an extremely talented organization, their priorities with regards to ensuring at minimum some functionality to all of their user base are misguided. This is a direct reflection on the values of the management team or lack thereof. This is just my two cents but I'm appalled that there are folks out there who've paid good money for a product and cannot access content. It's reprehensible.
