so how his life was 10 years, and then I don't if this is what you meant but I'm gonna make it sort of clearer. After the bargain, oryx could live infinitely, if he were to kill and feed his worm of course. So, you are able to fire infinitely, if you are able to kill and feed your worm, just like oryx had to.
[spoiler]GUARDIANS ARE ORYX CONFIRMED. WE WILL LIVE FOREVER AND CONQUER ALL. But seriously maybe the worm poisons our minds..? Or makes us act as if we are Oryx..? Maybe each worm drives the personality of its host, maybe we will become rouge?[/spoiler]

This would only apply to those with a touch of malice. However maybe in the future we have the option to do a deal with a 'worm' in order to become more powerful in the dark arts but end up turning into a Hive Guardian. Sounds awesome to me!

There is something from the lore where Oryx's mother was going to kill him and his sisters as children but they ran away and then did their pact with the worm gods. Trying to find where I read that. I think this is where he is getting the 10 years from.

yeah. I read the books last night. he also killed the Worm God Akka. He did this because if sword logic, and to be able to do this he killed his siblings before hand, using the same logic. with now the power and truth of Akka, he speak to the darkness, and bargain with [spoiler]correct me if I'm wrong please[/spoiler]
