Sure we don't, but I guarantee it won't be a boss and Bungie confirmed that the traveler was not the darkness

I said this is the likely reason people are saying he will be a boss, personally the speaker or the traveler being the final boss would not make much sense tbh. the book of sorrows speaks of the traveler attempting to help civilizations but abandoning them if all hope is lost.
