A lot of people will say the traveler due to the grimoire, it hints at the traveler trying to abandon us and how Rasputin actually damaged the traveler to stop it fleeing.

    This is still hinted at in the grimoire. So yes actually, we don't know what got the Traveler to the state it's in.

    Did I say he will be a boss? I said this is the likely reason people are saying he will be a boss, personally the speaker or the traveler being the final boss would not make much sense tbh. the book of sorrows speaks of the traveler attempting to help civilizations but abandoning them if all hope is lost.
