Anyone know Best place/way to use 3 of coins?
Can't seem to get a drop:-(

Go to winter's run. You need to run through it and get Draxsis down to 1 shot with three of coins active. Make sure you don't activate it until you have to kill him because his guards are magors/ultras. You then need to kill him with a rocket launcher with your guardian close enough to be killed by the blast. He should drop an engram which you can pick up when you respond, even though to beat the mission you will have to kill him again.:)

Using it on skills was the quickest way I found of getting exotic drops from 3 of coins

Highest enemy drop rates are the worm singer rune boss and on oryx when he teleports you into the orb and you kill the mini boss inside

I only use three if coins in nighfalls, Darkblade and undying mind cuz I ALWAYS get exotics from them

Only use one coin at a time (Don't stack them). It will disappear when you defeat a boss. To be safe wait 15 minutes from after you defeated the boss before activating one more coin. Each time you don't get an exotic the next coin you activate will give you a higher chance from the next boss kill. Using this method you should expect to see maybe two exotics for every 12-15 coins used. The time you have to wait is because if you activate it sooner the game might think you are trying to farm with the coins.

Um three of coins have a 5 min timer but I agree some bosses aren't completely full bosses like Psion

Good call. Yeah 15 minutes was more of a conservative guess than fact just know you can't activate them too quickly.

I use that same method, I would say my drop rate is slightly higher. I see about 1 exotic every 5 coins unless I'm horrendously unlucky. I use them on heroic strikes. If I'm lucky (I have been this week!), I get 2-3 every 10 coins. Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.

I use the same method but dont wait 15 minutes just like 5 and then activate at boss. I probably get on average 1 every 3-4! Again just thought i'd put my bit in :D

sit in a strike playlist as the more you play without going back to orbit the more the perk that you get allows you to get it increases your chance of getting loot.... then use a coin each time you enter a new strike ones ive found to avoid using a coin on however are the sion flayers ... note that the 3 of coins only has a chance for exotics from bosses of strikes and such like anything with the skull icon .... so strike playlists are the best

there is no best place or way to use it, it gives you a chance at getting an exotic, keyword CHANCE. You just have to keep trying.
