If you post anything about religion (or lack of it), you have no right to expect individuals who disagree with your beliefs will not post. Here's the deal:leave ALL faith-based posts off these forums. nothing good will come from it. If you're allowed to express your faith, than you must accept that others will do the same.

 • It's fine for others to express their opinions. But why do people have to do it in such a mean spirited way. I'm a Christian, and talking to an atheist (or person of another religion) doesn't turn me into a flaming troll. I don't see why we can't just talk and debate like normal people rather than turn it into an insult war.

 • I somewhat agree, but I've learned a long time ago that it never leads to a happy ending.
Plus, it's the Destiny forums. I'm surprised I haven't seen. a "git gud" post yet
• Largely because a lot of your book can be disproven and reminds people of bombed abortion clinics, creationism being taught in schools and things like that. If your religion was harmless, like Buddhism or Jainism then you wouldn't get so many angry people.

 • Just because people believe it can be easily disproved doesn't mean they have to be rude about it, they can still say that respectfully.

 • Think about it from our perspective. Imagine a group of people that believe 1+1=3. Like genuinely believe it. Now imagine that they're teaching their children this. That's infuriating even when we aren't factoring in how much of a negative effect religion has on the world. I'm sure you're genuine in your belief, but I'd suggesting you read your holy book and think about how much of it is impossible and how much of it is immoral.

 • I've read The Bible, and what people don't get is that the rules from the old testament simply don't apply any more, though they use it in their arguments. When Jesus died on the cross, and the temple curtain was torn in two, Jesus made the way to God without the need for all the ridiculous rules from the old testament, so yes some of the stuff in the Old Testament does seem immoral, but it doesn't apply any more. Also 1+1=3 is more obviously incorrect than a religion. I get how some of it seems impossible like the creation story to people who don't believe it, but to me it is more impossible that it happened without a creator.
