You have my respect. I personally have a .22 rifle and two .22 pistols. One of the pistols is for competition. I've also got a 20 guage shotgun and a 12 gauge shotgun. Planing on buying an AR 15 that shoots 9mm instead of .556. Also planning on getting a mini 14 ranch rifle too. Something to keep in mind though, guns are only dangerous if you make them dangerous.

All of those guns seem fine to me except for the ar15, in my opinion I think assault weapons are completely unnecessary

Nice, you should join the NRA if you haven't already. I've met a ton of cool dudes in there.

Why would I have your respect for owning a gun...? What if I go kill people with it, still got that respect? ;)

One of mine is a Remington 1100 Classic Trap model with grade b wood, and it is beautiful

Edited by ViralEnsign: 10/13/2015 7:48:57 PMNew Zealander here with no idea why firearms seems to cultivate such a degree of respect. There's nothing to be respected about a tool that's sole purpose of ending the life of another human. EDIT: Apologies. I realise how much of an over generalisation this statement is. Seems rather silly in hind sight. "I've not ever heard a positive story or circumstance involving a fire arm."
