Instead of that boring, repetitive, long grind for something you're probably not gonna get, I think Bungie has done some good by throwing in something for everyone to chase after in even the most common of strikes. Sucks they took away the Archon Priest. Loved that strike, and I'd love to see what specific weapons or armor he has to offer.
