I suggest you look up the definition of facts, and actually do your own research instead of blindly dismissing the truth. The fact that you haven't done this research yourself and are still arguing like you have is so incredibly moronic, it must be incredibly easy to rip you off if you just believe what their marketing department tells you.
Truth: The CEO of Susan G Kohmen just took a 64% pay raise, bumping her salary up to about $684,000, more than the US president makes. She also said she would resign after this scandal broke. Guess who's still in charge? Ask yourself what non profit charity needs to have it's CEO make more than the US president? Wouldn't a large portion of of that do more good going to the 'cancer research' they claim to fund? As quoted from Charity Navigator, “This pay package is way outside the norm," he said. "It's about a quarter of a million dollars more than what we see for charities of this size. ... This is more than the head of the Red Cross is making for an organization that is one-tenth the size of the Red Cross.”
With the NFL: http://www.businessinsider.com/small-amount-of-money-from-pink-nfl-merchandise-goes-to-breast-cancer-research-2013-10
Truth: About 3.4% of pink sales in the NFL go towards the American Cancer Society, another awareness group, while the majority of the funds go towards the manufacturer and distributor (guess who? The NFL). The ACS is an organization where only 17% of it's budget goes towards research, and the rest goes towards awareness and patient support. Again, a company that is not really putting any effort into finding a cure. Hell, in 2008 they were already on the radar as shady, as one report puts it,
"We haven’t yet established anything about whether the American Cancer Society or Susan G. Komen is effective (or ineffective) at accomplishing their missions. But we, at least, have been surprised by this fairly basic information.
Both organizations seem to spend relatively small portions of their funds on researching new treatments or cures.
Both organizations spend significant portions of their funds on “raising awareness” type activities."
Why would most of the budget go to raising awareness instead of going towards actual research if these people were actually looking for a cure? Because they're not. It's a business, plain and simple, disguised as good will. So seeing as how I can look that up to quote actual numbers very easily, and you bring nothing to back up what you're claiming... It's all in your head, bud. The proof is all over the place, and very well documented. I suggest you educate yourself.
