IB gear = fake 310s!
IB gear = fake 310s which means you are booted from my fireteam.
IB gear drops at 280 so you will have to infuse your way to 310 which isn't worth it. Plus using IB gear in the raid is worthless anyways.
Edit: only true year one vets know what I am saying. See all the salt posted below!

I was a "fake 32" with my IB chest plate and greaves. I had the crota gauntlets and helm of Saint-14. I never listened to those fake 32 posts, people didn't care how you were a 32 in the raid.

Ha. Yep. I remember those scrubs that said that. Iron banner gear was earn't more than the raid gear 90% of the time anyway.

I farmed it, I won all my games I could for the bounties, and I farmed the glimmer to buy the boots. If they earn it, they can use it. They don't need to join your bullshit fire teams anyway. The thing you fail to realize is the IB gear usually has great pvp perks as opposed to raid gear that has good pve perks. For example the raid gear give bonus such as extra orbs on a taken gernade kill but in pvp that's useless so you want something like increased melee speed or more gernade energy from melee hits etc.
