Bungie, tell me it's actually random..
The high amount of consecutive duplicates of loot. I mean really. Will any of you comment and actually say that this is random? I have posted and commented on this matter before and have never gotten a reply. If you say it's random I have no choice but to believe you. However I believe that this is deliberate to keep people playing more and grinding. I'm sorry but once I get a piece of gear 1 time, I suddenly get it EVERY time. I play way too much and have seen this far too many times to believe that it is random. I'm not talking 1 or 2 duplicates. I'm talking like 5+ consecutive repeat drops. I see you guys jumped right on the agonarch glitch to stop people from reaping the benefits of an exploit, yet I can't even get anyone to comment on this broken ass loot system. To me this seems deliberate, and truthfully feels pretty shitty. If you want me playing more, why don't you just release small paid dlc that add more drops to the loot table? Like $10 bucks, and it adds several new weapons and armor to the potential loot table. Seriously this duplicate bs pisses me off. It's to the point now where I can predict the loot before decoding an engram and 7-10 times I'm correct. Any comment?

I agree with you. It would be nice of we did get a duplicate it should be at a higher lever with different perks that you don't currently have. Also goes for exotics. I've gotten so many duplicates that I almost have better luck getting a lotto number right then getting a new exotic or better level. One more thing, why can't we get weapons that exclusive or connected to a event/mission? I mean of I do Iron Banner, why am I getting regular low level items? I'd take an old Iron Banner weapon any day, versus getting something I would get any day. The same for Crucible's & Strikes! If the event or sorry is relevant to item the better. House of wolves event, get a house of wolves item! Just saying!

All That drops for me is Shalo Supercell and Telesto and The Titan Chest Yeah its pretty shitty and predictable I mean I've been grinding like mad to get the Mau'auls Maulers and the Titan Help from Aluk Hul for literally two weeks... I mean almost every day for 3-4 hours GRINDING nothing but the Brothers and Aluk Hul and STILL NOTHING Drops. I am to the point where I am sick of the Loot tables in this game as well. I mean here it is 2015 and it feels like they copied and pasted loot table code from Ever Quest into a "NEXT GEN" Game. Why can't we code into a loot table reward system NOT to reward players with gear thats Already been rewarded? Isn't that the point of the Knock off iPhone Kiosks in the tower? To keep track of Exotics that we already have so we can just repurchase them... SO we have that. WHY NOT tie that into the loot table reward system to LET IT KNOW not to drop that shit over and over again... cause we already HAVE IT. I tell you what you are doing by NOT adding Matchmaking to raids and Nightfalls and continuing with this shitty loot system. You are driving this GAURDIAN to other games. I log in get my 30 badges and log out. I don't do Nightfall or Do the Raid. Since getting this game I have YET to do Either.

ANYTIME I open an exotic special weapon engram, it is a telesto. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've gotten about 6 of them

Edited by Ender Dragon: 10/13/2015 1:30:44 PMSo far my exotic engrams from 3oC have been 1 Starfire Protocol 1 Obsidian Mind 1 Voidfang Vestments 1 No Backup Plans 1 Invective 1 Impossible Machines 1 Heart of Praxic Fire I have not had any issues with duplicates. But I did not abuse the 3oC the first week and get 30+ engrams.

It's a joke to be honest, I've had my fair share or armour drop (over 90 3oc used) and I keep getting crest of alpha lupi and the nothing machines but only ever had 2 weapon engrams dropped and they've both been invective!

2 RepliesOn my hunter for exotics = 3 Invectives , 3 Last words and tonight finally a Taloc or what ever.... as for BPs as there is really only one Ive had it 3 times and two of the Titan ones pmsl... Arms and Helmets Ive had it ok and seemed random... I have noticed when I get one legandary I tend to get another of the same again quite often on weapons... I got to admit although I enjoy the TK - loot wise its been more of a start over with less to choose from if Im honest and again whats with the hate Bungie has towards leg armour and any exotics for it... or the lack of.

1 ReplyI'm taking a break..... My first raid runs on my three characters were decent, everything since then has been the same stuff; but lower level... It's just not worth my time anymore... The grind is worse and I'm just getting sick of it... Today's run, I got moldering shards, wormspore, and a 300 ghost...just not worth the time and effort anymore. Too bad....this game has soooo much potential...

If your looking at the new exotics and what can drop they are limited on what drops in the wild. So if you nuked yourself exotics off the initial Three of Coins You probably got all the in the wild exotic drops

I think it is broken but there not going to come out and say it. The code to this game must be huge, any little change could effect 50 things. I bet theres a "fix" coming in the next few months for this, but they wont publicly say it.

Yea i kinda have to agree even tho it sounds like a conspiracy theory. All my friends who play casually, only once in a while get great drops. I put a good amount of time in almost everyday and get so many duplicates (8 fourth horseman's). And if you think of it from a business perspective it makes sense. Keep casual players entertained and returning with great drops. Keep the players who grind every day on the eternal grind, and not allow them to get all the good shit so soon. A system designed to keep people returning.

1 ReplyI literally have gotten 10-14 alpha lupais when decrypting exotics with my titan, even the ones for the warlock and hunter. There is nothing random about this. Chest armor is set to Alpha Lupai presently. Exotic boots never drop nor do exotic heavies. When I farmed 3oC(yes, I did), it was the same. Same set of helmets, same set of arms, all chests alpha lupai, no boots, no heavies.
