Flayer Mantles
Does anyone know of you can get the cloaks from just doing the dust palace strike, and not on the vanguard playlist?

I think you can just do it on the regular strike.

Every single person I have seen that has claimed to have gotten one in the regular strike and not the playlists has turned out to be a liar, by their own Destiny stats. Maybe people like trolling, or they're confused; Either way, Sweeps, your best bet is to stick to the Vanguard/Heroic strikes.

I don't know about the flayer mantles, but, I got the Cloak of Taniks in 9 runs of The Shadow Thief. I didn't play a playlist.

In my opinion it is impossible. This is the only strike that the "boss" doesn't drop the strike rewards. Instead you get the rewards at the timer. I believe the only way you can get the cloaks is through the playlists which sucks because it is annoying to have to keep leaving and going back to find the right strike....

The heroic playlist is the best chance I believe.
