Explanation: Heavy Sniper
As we all know there's just one void exotic in the game... also as we all know sniper rifles are fancy. Many people want a Void Exotic Sniper Rifle that'll trigger the vortex grenade effect. Which would be fancy. But here's another idea...
"343 Chasm [Hard Fall]"- Exotic Void Sniper Rifle. If you get the reference good for you. If you don't I won't say. I was aiming for a deadly Sniper Rifle that excels when you have singled a foe out, but nothing beyond that. Hence the reload speed, low mag size and subsequent lower than normal reserves.
"I see everything. I will show you. You will be ruined."
|||Statistics:
5x zoom factor
22 aim assist [2nd lowest- Praedyth's Revenge is the lowest at 20; typical is 40-60 for snipers]
0.403-0.433 ADS time
20 equip speed [Tied for lowest- P&T is also 20; typical is 35-55 for snipers]
6 Rate of Fire [irrelevant]
181/ 452 damage [PvP][w/o ballistics and/or perks]
90 Range
1 Magazine Size, therefore less reserve ammo as well
2.5s Reload Time
14 Stability [IB has 15]
|||Perk Tree:
Hidden Perk: Unflinching
Tier 0: Void
Tier 1: Linear Comp [190 non-precision damage; +5 range; -5 stb] -> Aggressive [199; -5; -5] -> Field Choke [190; +12; -15]
>>>>>remember: Titan armor: 194-203; Hunter: 188-*198*; Warlock: 191-202. One could use Aggressive until Tier 2 is unlocked...
Tier 2: Final Round: Remember that mag size? Note: As this is a Heavy weapon, Final Round behaves as it does on weapons that aren't sniper rifles- as in, a precision shot isn't required to proc.
Tier 3: Field Scout [Unchanged mag size, but more reserve ammo]; Feather Mag [+Rld]; APR
Tier 4: Vision in Red: For as long as there is ammo in the magazine, aiming this weapon triggers thermal vision. Enemies hit by this weapon are momentarily suppressed.
>>>>>Part One: Highlights foes in red when ADS, as on the killcam. As it is thermal it can detect invisibility. This thermal vision also functions through one layer of wall, not limited by range.///Part Two: The suppression is very momentary- as in a fraction of a second. The purpose of it is to stop players mid-jump, aka a "fall from grace" that, in PvP, can catch foes off guard and send them plummeting to their death when trying to cross gaps. This conveniently fits with the "Chasm" bit of the name. Watch out, Bladedancers.
So basically a long range OHK sniper rifle that can hunt through walls once fully upgraded. I see its closest rivals being Efrideet's Spear- another heavy hitting Sniper with Final Round; and Patience and Time- a Sniper with greatly different stats- almost opposite in fact- but with Third Eye and its signature perk that is nearly the opposite of 343's. )): A *precision* hit with Aggressive Ballistics will hit for 661 damage. For reference, Golden Gun deals 425. This could be great against vehicles. *Perhaps* it will even one shot through turret shields. If I had vehicle health values I'd be able to see just how many shots it'd take to down an Interceptor.

Here you can compare it to a variety of other weapons: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1L7FV9l4hXo2tHD3XlFUp854XvJIwTKFIPvASLduPPS4/htmlview?usp=sharing&pli=1&sle=true
And before you say it is "op" consider...
-Efrideet's Spear
- Low total ammo
- inability to engage multiple targets
- Lacks a low zoom option
-poor aim assistance and ADS speeds- remember, the perk requires ADS.
And that's it. You snipers like it? I'm open to suggestions.
If you miss its over.
If you get the shot you get the kill. Then wait 3.25 seconds.

EDIT: Thanks to banana fish. As he stated, it handles like a truck. I forgot to state that. Props to him. And as it handles like a truck it only makes sense for it to run on "truck fuel". Now a heavy weapon (with no glint and 6 max/pickup ammo +1w/ FS) with a 2.5s reload.

Sounds bad. I'll pass.
