I think you need to stop listening to Republican State TV....and confusing it for actual news.
Or should I say confusing it for JOURNALISM.
Fox News exists to keep a particular segment of the population FRIGHTENED and ANGRY....so thatt they can be told what to think...and ultimately how to VOTE.
English
-
I believe we can say the same for all news stations.
-
Lmao I think you should actually check links.
-
Irony here is that----while it was a well done troll.... ...it was COMPLETELY in character for Fox.
-
It could also be true for any other mainstream news outlet.
-
No it isn't. But that's what Right wing media wants people to believe. Because it muddies the waters, which allows them to get way with playing fast and loose with facts....because people who don't stay informed can't tell what's truth and what isn't....plus in creates distrust in their target audience for other...more objective...sources of information. Bottomline, in the eyes of right wing media: Bias= "Doesn't see things OUR way".
-
It's funny because that's exactly how the leftist news stations are.

Propaganda works best when those being manipulated are confident that they are acting on their own free will. ---Joseph Goebbels.
-
Lmao the fact that you don't even understand proves my point. You say right minded people are blinded by media, but you're blindly calling other people blind while you watch leftist media. Hello? Hypocrite. See ya, I can't argue with somebody who actually thinks socialism works.

“It would not be impossible to prove with sufficient repetition and a psychological understanding of the people concerned that a square is in fact a circle. They are mere words, and words can be molded until they clothe ideas and disguise.” The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over.” Success is the important thing. Propaganda is not a matter for average minds, but rather a matter for practitioners. It is not supposed to be lovely or theoretically correct. I do not care if I give wonderful, aesthetically elegant speeches, or speak so that women cry. The point of a political speech is to persuade people of what we think right. I speak differently in the provinces than I do in Berlin, and when I speak in Bayreuth, I say different things than I say in the Pharus Hall. That is a matter of practice, not of theory. We do not want to be a movement of a few straw brains, but rather a movement that can conquer the broad masses. Propaganda should be popular, not intellectually pleasing. It is not the task of propaganda to discover intellectual truths.” Every age that has historical status is governed by aristocracies. Aristocracy with the meaning - the best are ruling. Peoples do never govern themselves. That lunacy was concocted by liberalism. Behind its "people's sovereignty" the slyest cheaters are hiding, who don't want to be recognized.” If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” -------Joseph Goebbels. Reich Minister of Propapaganda. -godwinslaw!- Germany 1933-1945. ...and as long as right-wingers get all their information from similar sources, it becomes much easier to conceal the lies, and to shield you from the truths that reveal them for being the lies.

Explain how they are different from MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS?
-
Smh. For one thing those legiitmate news outlets don't IGNORE stories that make Democrats or Liberals look bad. Any time one crops up that makes the GOP or conservatives look bad, Fox Does its best to pretend that it never happened. Or its only newsworthy because of the "bias" of the "mainstream media". One of the most effective proprganda techniques is what called "Priming the Pump. What you do is that you accuse your adversaries of doing the very thigns YOU are doing. It works because----to the undiscerning or the not-well-informed----it muddies the water so that people have trouble figuring out what the truth is. Also it insulates you from people pointing out the truth of what you're doing....because you've already "primed the pump" so people expect the counter attack. Fox----and Right-wing media in general----runs around accusing anyone who doesn't see the world like THEY want as being "biased" and having it in for "conservatives". One, to deflect attention from the fast-and-loose ways they play with the facts, and the very clear political agenda they are promoting. Two. To create distrust of other---more objective----sources of information (Us vs Them). So that their audience ONLY gets their information from RWM...and therefore its easy to control what information their target audience has access to, and how they see and interpret it. Its one of the biggest....longest running political cons in modern history.
-
So, just the vast right wing conspiracy Lois Lerner and the IRS targeted Tea party groups I guess. Yeah, the "news" outlets I mentioned don't do the exact things you've mentioned.
-
No...they don't. MSNBC has a clear left-spin to thei EDITORIAL shows...but they make it clear that you are watching opinion...and not news. I would direct you to a number of books that clearly outline the history hear, and precisely what tactics right-wing media uses...and who is paying the bills for it. But then---as I said----the first thing RWM does is create DISTRUST and confusion where more objective sources of information. Plus there was never any FACTS to support that the whole IRS thing was anything more than politically TONE DEAF attempt on the part of ONE IRS office to do its job. Deny tax-exempt status to organizations that existed for solely political reasons. But just like Benghazi, right-wingers tend to focus on what they wish to believe is real....and ignore it when the facts don''t support that desired belief.

Edited by Psycho Justin: 10/12/2015 12:18:31 AMMhm. As an independent, you're as much as the problem as they are, and neither one of you wants to see the light on that fact. Even your posts have been every bit as distorting and half truth-ed as the tactics they employ that you're denouncing. "Read these books they'll give you the REAL truth!". They prey on fear, you say, yet here you are using scare tactics to point to how awful the right wingers are. "You can trust me, its the other guy you got to look out for" says both sides of the same coin.
-
...and you are a victim fo the Muddying of the Waters that right-wing media seeks to create. Because the difference between someone like me---and them----is I deal in facts that are supportable by science. Not assertion. Distratction. Character assassination...and make up your own set of facts if the reals ones don't support what you wish to believe. Read the book "The Authoritarians" by Prof. Bob Altemeyer. Read the series of books by Kevin Phillips the Republican strategist who crafted The Southern Strategy that gave rise to the modern Republican Party. You will find it very eye opeing. Altemeyers' writing is backed by decades of social science research. Phillips is writing about the political history he not only lived....but that he participated in bringing about. Fox News is not run by someone who has a background in Journalism. It is run by Roger Ailes. Who served as the MEDIA CONSULTANT for THREE Republican Presidents and their campaigns: Richard Nixon. Ronald Reagan. George H.W. Bush. Take a moment to digest that. You have a media outlet----being treated as an source of journalism----being run by a political media consultant. One with a very clear partisan history.

Edited by Psycho Justin: 10/12/2015 11:09:53 AMI know who Fox is run by. I'm sure Professor Bob wrote a enthralling tale. I think you need to work your way back up from the rabbit hole a bit, you've gone too far down. George Stephanapolous works at ABC. You're "facts" are cherry picked to support your bias. Read the book "Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone" while having a glass of good rum and chill the -blam!- out. You sound like you're caught in a knockoff Tom Clancy story.
