So maybe I'm beating a dead horse, but I'm still upset so I don't really care.
Holy shit do I feel ripped off. Having dumped $80 into this game since launch, I now officially have fewer things to do than when the game came out.
At least when TDB and HOW came out, partial or non-DLC buyers could play Nightfall and weeklies if their content rotated in.
Now I just cross my fingers for a somewhat fulfilling daily mission and piss around in 3 kind-of enjoyable crucible playlists.
That's it.
And I've since purchased all DLC except for TTK.
Raid gear is obsolete, and there's some cool patrol quest about killing giant Taken dudes, but being stuck at 34 doesn't even allow me to use the new legendaries than happen once in a while because they're all locked to 40.
I would understand being locked out of only the new content, but I've been locked out of things I've already paid for.
By turning the strike and nightfall into locked playlists, I have next to shit to actually do in this game besides buy the DLC or screw around in a level 20 strike playlist. I don't have access to the high level strikes that came with the game or DLC I bought that would progress my character. I no longer have useful things to do.
Being broke sucks. Of course I'm going to buy the content eventually, I just wish I had more to do until I'm able to get it.
Rant having been made: I got to play some TTK on my friend's Xbox, and I'll say it's pretty damn cool. Got to 40 and unlocked stormcaller, which I can use on my own console.
