Yup, there are a handful of weapons that require PVP. EVERYTHING else is earned in PVE. Some kids just feel entitled to acquire every gun in the game on their own terms: "my parents paid $60 for this game so give me all the things,....NOW!!"
-
Probably because it's a PVE game at its core. You'll get the PVP whiners saying it isn't because most are borderline retarded. There's no big story behind PVP. Not hard to figure out where the focus is.....
-
I understand that but then surely it would be unfair if people only played PvP. While I understand it is rare to find people like this it still applies and some players may be unwilling to do the higher level content so refer to PvP quests or quests that require low light levels and PvP.
-
Well the reason for that is that Destiny's core is pve and the PvP is an added element to support the core. This game is meant for you to explore and kill things and raids are one of the biggest features this game has. If this was a different type of game were the core was PvP and pve existed for the only reason of just having it. People will also complained about. You seem to forget Destiny is not a PvP design game like others, so asking why is there a pve wall is dumb. Destiny PvP is not good but still I do it to get the things I want. After all I'm not playing a game design for PvP to begin with

It's not PvE core with PvP added. Maybe that was the original intention. But the game had morphed to basically a 50/50 split between the two. Also a large majority of the top gear is acquired via PvE. I can't understand how anyone complains about a thing or two that require PvP.
-
People just like to complain it seems and the game won't be 50/50 until PvP gets a dedicated server. As it stands now is not like that and it's only 50/50 population wise not on game design. If bungie doesn't give PvP a desicated server than you can't called PvP half of the game design.

Ok.... doesn't change the point of my comment though.
