So I was playing rumble yesterday as it was the daily and noticed I got a 5 kill streak even though I only killed 4 guardians. It then proceeded to say I got a 10 killstreak when I had only killed 9.
Does this happen often or is just some kind of weird glitch?
Edit
I'm just wondering if this is something that happens all the time. So how accurate are killstreaks?

Gotta be a glitch. You had no assists and only 4 kills when the "5 kill streak" popped up. It had to have something to do with the self rez on the lock or your super. Everything else was a relatively straight forward kill, although you probably shouldn't have even started it to begin with. That lock had you dead to rights in the beginning. Then again, he did feed you two kills so I'm thinking he was just bad.

Maybe you had a postmortem kill before this streak?

It counts assists as well.

I think its counting the lines that comes up in the bottem left. Just after you killed your third enemy, a line comes up with taking the lead. After that you killed your 4th enemy very fast after that line came up and shaxx says double kill. That is when your 5 kill streak comes up. I think its because of that. But i could be wrong

I'm in a lecture so I can't watch the video, but I remember hearing once that 2 assists counts as a kill, could that be what happened?

I think kill streaks carry over from previous games

YES, no matter how many I kill I just can't get the guided bomb to spawn

There's a similar thing that sometimes happens in Halo.

Occasionally the game counts an assist as a kill. That's all. Iron banners iron wrath bounty proves this.

I can't say I've noticed this myself but that video definitely only had 4 kills when it awarded a 5 kill streak. It could be a faulty system that goes by points rather than actual kills. Interesting.
