Fallen S.A.B.E.R. - Warsat needs adjustment - HEROIC

So, everything about the Fallen S.A.B.E.R. Strike is pretty fun and well designed, EXCEPT for the starting Warsat portion of the Strike. This isn't so much a problem on normal, but the heroic version needs an adjustment. Why, oh why, are there so many enemies coming at you for such a long time JUST to start the Strike? What's even worse is that this is on a timer where you're supposed to sit there for a long period of time, taking bullets in the face constantly while harder and harder enemies come at you, and you've only got 3 minutes at maximum before the thing explodes and starts you at the beginning again. The Warsat portion on heroic NEEDS a balance adjustment so that it's not only easier for players to even START the Strike, but to also enjoy that portion of the Strike. I would suggest either less enemies coming per wave so that it's not a tsunami of pain, or perhaps have the transmat itself take only half the normal time. Everything else about Fallen S.A.B.E.R. is fun and interesting, if you can just get through the teeth-grinding difficulty of opening the door.     Reviving this thread. I agree, This one out of all the heroic strikes this one is the hardest and when i say hardest the boss itself is not hard. its just the beginning i find it super stupid how hard the defend the warsat is then the boss it self. Bungie is starting to be money craze about the whole silver currency release. Why not actually do something to fix this game. i can name so many issue with this game it's just sad. This game use to be my go to game but now i rather play borderlands.

      It needs more cover. A competent fire team can deal with the enemies, it's the fact that everything can shoot you at once that makes things difficult.

      • Just tried this on heroic to complete the Sleeper Stirs quest. Pretty much impossible. 1 billion mobs all do triple damage, and take 1/2 damage from anythign you can throw at them. I shot a Captain dead in the face at pt blank range with an Arc 291 shotgun, and those 6 shots barely took his shields down! He then proceeded to 2-shot me. 298 Light here, so I'm not undergeared. Tried again. THIS time I decided to give that Captain a taste of my super. EVEN WITH THE SHADOWSHOT ACTIVE, I BARELY BURNED DOWN HIS SHIELDS!! He -blam!-ing 2-shot me AGAIN!. Rockets? Ha! A 296 launcher barely scratched the paint off the mob's armor! Grenades?? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Don't even THINK about melee. Seriously - To get -blam!-ed no matter what your strat, no matter what your light level, is nothing but an exercise in frustration. Now, the 1-2% of players who somehow got lucky, got 310 weapons and gear, and are facerolling this will come in here and say how easy it is, etc. Hey, glad you can faceroll it: Want a -blam!-ing cookie?? Because the rest of us can't.

        • The fact that people often leave the Strike playlist when this Strike comes up speaks volumes. Nothing wrong with the Normal version, but the suggestion of 260 Light for the Heroic version is a joke. I encountered it earlier today with a friend, he's 290 and I was mid 280, and we had two different randoms join and leave because of the Warsat section. Naturally, we were facing Taken, because they're the hardest to deal with. But even the Fallen in this strike are pretty ridiculous because of the turrets on the drop ships. Meanwhile, I had it come up Heroic the other day with Hive at the Warsat section, and THAT was easy peasy. It just shows a lack of balance at the Warsat section due to the changing enemy types. The ones that spawn for the Hive are [i]way[/i] easier than the ones that spawn for the Taken, and your ability to complete a Strike really shouldn't be based on luck.

          • It is too hard.. It's doable though. Have two on the warsat and have one flank from behind up the back left. Use secondary/heavy fire damage to quickly take down shields and switch to primary. The enemies will have their backs to you half the time. Still I agree it is too hard for 260's and its probably encouraging glitching as it is now.

          • Totale agree. it's very frustating on heroic. Just because no matter what's your level, they are a lot with very big shields

          • I agree with you. If I am with some buddies we can push through it as we are coordinated. If I am with some randos...... yeah it's almost always cheese it or orbit (but I always try it a couple times might work out or we could end up with the hive version). Now I understand some commenters are saying "it's not that bad just do (insert strat)" or "all you need is a titan to bubble" With matchmaking you might not have a titan bubble. And with randos they might not know the strat you suggest. As much as I wish I could say I am one of those players who can make up for some poor sap who hasn't played as much I'm just not that good. I'm certainly not a bad player but I lack the legendary skills needed to carry some of these groups. It's not their fault either. Everyone learns at their own pace. If you are tuning this with the fact that you have matchmaking in mind then yes this is horribly overtuned. If you need a specific setup to accomplish it yes there is an issue IMO. And when most of your community goes to orbit because it's the saber strike you definitely have an issue.

          • Beat it on heroic nightfall and sleeper quest took no more then 3 tries each It's not that bad. I use to have more trouble beating the archon priest

              Agreed, the only reason this strike is f**king annoying on heroic, and the nightfall, is the countless mobs thrown at us while we can't be more than 5 feet away from the Warsat or else no progression. The Warsat last week for Nightfall was ok with void and secondary weapon buff, but still annoying that it was mostly armored enemies being thrown at us. And the nightfall this week... it took hours of restarting to get all 3 characters done because the f**king taken captains would do nothing but teleport and darkness blast spam and insta kill the whole team because of arc burn!!! I agree that there needs to be less armored enemies thrown at us, and the Warsat timer should be double if we have to stand in one spot while we're being shot at like turkeys on thanksgiving. P.S. - when this strike shows up on Heroic list, the randomers 90% of the time quit, and nor do I blame them. Even in the regular strike playlist randomers will quit, Bungie clearly didn't test their content else they'd of known not to just spam mobs at us while we can't move nor seek any real cover. Destiny Guardians were advertised to be overpowered beings, and yet we're as thick as wet tissue paper when it comes to defense...

            • I agree completely. Way to difficult and unnecessarily so. This game has lost the fun factor and has become brutally hard. I'm about to end my 1 yr addiction because Bungie seems to think we enjoy pounding our heads against a wall.

              • Ohh no too many bag guys all spawn in and we don't want to waste heavy guess what you can rocket the fallen out of the ship makes the fallen easy yes the taken one is hardest when hive but if you use heavy and the right guns it's done use guns with the right shield colour and it's easy yes there next to no where to hide and the ships one shot you but it is doable if you work as a team

              • tried the sleeper simulant strike today with randoms. we was all 303 light the warsat went well however we couldnt kill the boss, we tried everything we had, i eventually rage quit after a hour and half and 48 deaths

                  • The ship is annoying. Other than that it's okay with a team of 3. Soloing would be tough , again mainly due to the ship one shotting with adds also shooting at same time

                  • have u tried it on nightfall level? absolute slaughter with the 30s revive timer. the enemies actually broke our defender bubbles - yes that is a thing! (try it out) we solved it by having one person go towards the second wave and dying so some of the enemies aggro on the orb.

                  • You can rocket them out of the ship if they are fallen easy strike if taken it is hard and next To no cover hive is a bit hard cuase of the ogros appenty there's a chance to get vex but have not seen it yet.
