This seems like a good place to share this:
I suck at PVP but desperately want my exotic sword. After I don't know how many matches of fail I was up to 4/25 guardian kills. Finally I said "screw it", threw on St-14, went Defender, jumped into Mayhem Clash.
I knew it was a bad idea. Everything about this was a bad idea. I had scotch ready to take the pain away. I'm mediocre with no quest driven restrictions to my play, and I'd been eating shotgun all day. This, surely, would be even worse.
I dropped a bubble on the heavy ammo 5s before it spawned. I was thinking I would only be delaying the inevitable. This time, at least, I would live long enough to loot the heavy before dying in shame. It spawned, I looted. So far, better than the last 12 matches.
To my astonishment an enemy hunter jumped into my bubble, was blinded, became my first sword kill of the match. Then it happened again. And again. My super recharged, I ran out, dropped a bubble on the enemy team clustered around the other heavy spawn, repeat.
I slowly rolled that bubble across the map. I went Relentless for the first time in memory. I was a glacial orb of slashing death. Before I ran out of ammo I had more. Before I needed to leave my bubble it was recharged.
It felt dirty and wrong and BY THE TRAVELER I got that quest done in one match.
Now to grind spin metal. ....
