So as we all know, Oryx was a step in the right direction in terms of working together to achieve an end goal. Atheon did this well also, but Crota fell short. Me and one of my roommates were talking about possible raid ideas for future content. Here is what we came up with.
1. The raid would be a Fireteam match making system. You would create your own fireteam and match make with another 6 man team. Each person would essentially be given an alley that that would have to traverse by themselves. Each person would be given their own set of puzzles and mini bosses before everybody meets up at the end to take on the final boss. I think this could be done given how big the patrol missions are and given the fact that Court of Oryx can have so many people in attendance at one time.
2. This is specifically a Cabal Raid. Imagine a 6 man fireteam spawning onto a planet only to find a timer in the area of the buffs. There is nothing saying what the timer is for or what will happen when it runs out. The idea would be to finish the raid in the amount of time the timer says or the Cabal destroy the planet you are standing on.
"The Cabal destroy planets and moons just for getting in their way"
Another part of this would be what happens when the planet explodes. Perhaps everybody is sent to orbit and that is all you could do that week for the raid. Essentially an old nightfall buff. If everyone dies, you are sent to orbit. Of course that would only apply to the timer and not dying while traversing the raid.
Anybody have other ideas? I'm very curious. I think our ideas would keep the game fresh for at least another 5 months til another dlc is dropped. :)
