Scientists have successfully “grown” a new living rat limb using tissues and a leg from a deceased rat. The limb is able to circulate blood and contract at 80% of the strength of the appendage of a new born rat.
Now before we get too excited this feat in science research is merely a step towards relinquishing our reliance on mechanical prosthetics. We’re still unable to create bone and marrow (along with many other things)
Creating a limb and being able to efficiently and profitably attach these body parts to a living being without complications is a whole ‘nother ball game.
Advances in technology are being made every day. [We’re moving forward in “curing” paralysis in patients Article ]
Do you believe medical discoveries will someday be able to heal any disease or injury?
(Don’t mention viruses. We don’t talk about those bastahds)
