Explain? Sun breaker is able to run, jump, throw hammers as far as they please without damage falloff, have bonus health that not even a high impact sniper rifle take kill could kill with a headshot, and are able to kill multiple people with a single hammer Stormcaller has to glide slowly around people, and although the jump is affective, are still not able to move nearly as fast as normal, the lightning has very short range and although is able to chain from one enemy to the next, still won't prove nearly as effective, considering it takes time to kill someone
-
Sunbreaker also has health regen on kill
-
What? The gliding makes circles around people leaving them in a panic while you shock their balls off. The Stormcaller still has great passive perks and offensive perks. If you're thinking of Stormcaller as the super powerful super subclass that can kill gods then you're wrong. It does good damage and is great at taking out regular enemies with little trouble and if you're a great player you can out smart Sunbreakers and other classes in their super too.
-
But still, it seems to take more damage to kill someone using stormcaller, whereas with the sun breaker, you have great movement speed, incredible health, and can basically throw solar nova bombs. I'm not saying stormcaller is a bad subclass because it's really not, but it could still use somewhat of a buff
-
Sunbreakers are really slow unless they spec for agility. Then they aren't the tanks that everyone is so afraid of, though. I spec for agility because I like the mobility during normal firefights, but I'm nowhere near as durable, even in Sunbreaker with an overshield. A single GG shot can drop me.
-
But you can still heal, and it only takes one hammer to kill 2-3 people. Idk if you're right about the one-shot thing, I've gotten a headshot on a sun breaker with an efrideet's and still didn't kill them
-
If I have the overshield perk, I can't use the healing perk. In order for a Titan to survive a GG shot in Sunbreaker form, they need to be specced for max armor at the very least. I'm not sure if it requires overshield or solar defense armor. Until someone gets a group together to sit there and test it, players are going off game experience and there's a ton that can affect that. Lag being one of them.
-
No it's just fine. The sunbreaker just needs a nerf to health. The sunbreaker also just runs at regular speed. If you're having problems with the speed if the storm trance I suggest Ionic Blink. You can pair that with Impossible Machines and become a god with it.
-
Never thought about that, I'll try it out some time
-
Let's not forget stormcaller and thier melee that reaches a good 5-6 feet in front while sunbreakers are stuck waving their arms at nothing constantly.
-
True, but considering that the melee is really the only good thing about the subclass, it's kind of dissapointing
-
I've played for a while as storm caller on my warlock and from what I've played they seem to be a pretty good class, theyre just less centered towards the super than a sunbreaker is.
-
Yea, it's good, but seems pretty limited compared to the sun breaker, especially considering the damage falloff and lack of movement speed, but it's still one of my favorites in the game so far.
