(Some of) This community has no skill
All I see is shotguns. And Shotguns and more Shotguns!!!! I haven't been killed by a sniper in so long! Its pathetic, i remember when games actually took skill and everything didnt OHK you. Pathetic waste of time.
My challenge to you guys. Go sword only a couple matches.... You'll feel the pain.

shotguns aren't that bad and they are actually easy to counter. But they're effectiveness at the current ranges they are able to achieve is absolutely disgusting.

It could be worse. There was a guy in a rumble match that used thorn and a sniper. But here's the kicker. He used the sniper to drop shields then switched to thorn to go for the kill. Wth? So inefficient. Been seeing a lot of low impact snipers going for only body shots lately. Tis the time of year again...

First of all TTKs are all over the place with all the weapons....and on top of that we have supers. So overall, TTKs are closer to those of COD than Halo I think. This means that strategies center more on preparation than the decisions made during the gun fight. Shotguns are the perfect weapon for people who play this way. In summary, if you want a skill requiring game, try elsewhere. That being said, it does take time and a decent amount of adjustment to get good even with a shotgun. I hardly play crucible overall, but during 1 month I basically only played crucible and improved my k/d by 0.5-0.7. Now it's back down to 1 k/d.

I agree. I know it sounds bad but I use a shotgun but I'm not the type to only use it, it's like a fail safe against other shotguns. My primary is auto rifle or pulse rifle and a sword for my heavy

Shotgun vs Sniper rifle... it's all player preference. I've always considered myself a versitile all-around player. Put any gun in my hand and I'll get kills with it. That's thanks to being a Halo player. You scavenge whatever you can get in that game and make the best with it. I really like to be in the fray though... not skulking on the edge... I really like the mid range, which right now is favoring pulse rifles. I tend to favor the shotgun over the sniper rifle because I tend to favor forward over reverse. Movement over camping. And shotgun is just a better option in that case. That all said... put a sniper rifle in my hand and I'll pop some heads off. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this mindset... I think it's stupid that people give people crap about their preferred playstyle and redicule their skill. It's got nothing to do with skill and everything to do with preference.

I love shotguns, have since started FPS's and always will. Something so satisfying about a boomstick Swords are very fun as well. Those hilt kills tho.

Dude why do you think that everyone cried about hand cannons so much, exspecially Thorn. Crucible is nothing but shot gun rushing you with a slide. The Last Word and Thorn could kill fast enough to percent this being effective. Pulse rifle can and will be come the new OP weapon, probably shortly with trials coming back, still prevent the shot gun slide. Auto rifle can prevent the shot gun slide , but they have no range, which I do not understand why they install drop off on a auto rifle and not a pulse rifle aren't they the same. You get what you asked for with the nerf of hand cannons. As far as sniper being a skill. You must be drunk, any idiot can camp way off and wait til a targets c enter their scope. That's all they do. With the patch the crucible has become a non skill environment. Point and shoot.

2 RepliesActually most of the community has no skill, there's only a hand full of skilled players. I mean 34% finished the raid, not counting non raiders. Cant wait for next weeks IB and Trials to wreck on low level players!

I prefer my icebreaker to just about any shotgun. I feel like I'm pretty good, but only slightly above average (maybe). Compared to most in the crucible (which isn't saying much), I usually do pretty good with a sniper. Although, recently got the chaperone and I like it pretty well. People like to say it takes a lot of skill to use, but that's only if you go for all headshots. You can two-shot with it like no one's business.
