I am at the step of the exotic sword quest that I need to wait until the next arms day but now it won't give me the arms day alloys pls help I don't want to have to wait another week

You need to have finished and turned in the material-collecting step BEFORE armsday in order to get the alloys on Armsday. If you finish on Armsday, you'll have to wait until the next one.
