That is I a very detailed analysis of the Book.
I am most delighted to find someone else who understands it.
I have a question for you though.
This is based upon the Oryx:defeated and few of the other grimore cards.
Do you think that the Queen that Eris refers to is in fact Savathûn the witch Queen?
My main reasons for suspecting this are that
1. Eris has you kill ALL other hive who could accend to lead the hive (bar Oryx’s siblings who we see no hide nor hair of)
2. It is very much in character for Savathûn to use Eris (and by extension us) as a proxy to remove Oryx from play.
3. It would fit within the sword logic. They could not kill him alone, especially after their tribute was cut by Oryx, but if she uses her cunning to contract a proxy to remove him and all possible successors from power.

She's not. Uldren survived as well (he wound up on Mars) and can feel her existence. Eris has been talking to the Queen. They conspired together to plan the Reef's assault on the Hive to buy the Guardians time. Though while they are both on our side, for some reason they thought it imperative that the City not know of their collusion.

Edited by Shattered One: 10/6/2015 5:37:54 PMIt sounds possible but unlikely, although, the "Will not fail part" is a bit strange, as there is no evidence of the queen ordering Eris to do something in which she must not fail

I actually had similar thoughts, that in her cunning, Savathun manipulates the Guardians to do her dirty work via a proxy (Eris.)
