Is Bungie going to start charging people money for emotes? Well charging people money to get "Silver"
"To acquire these items, you’ll first need to pick up some “Silver,” a new in-game currency that will be available for purchase through the store associated with your console. "
That sounds a little -blam!-ing shady to me...they want money for this shit? To pay their Live Crew? That's kinda how it sounds to me, and if that's the case it ain't our -blam!-ing job to fund your people Bungie! We bought your god damn game, pay your own f*cking people!
-
I don't ever recall seeing a form saying how much we want more dance like really? That's the updates we need?
-
This is the same scam as the "free to play"games offered by tablet/phone games developers that make them millions per month. This, for now, is a test. No developer is going to setup a "buy Silver" system with MS & Sony to only sell you a few emotes or other future items that "won't effect gameplay." THIS IS A TEST!! The objective will be to see how many people will spend how much money in order to improve their gaming experience. Some people will bitch as usual, but many will buy. Enjoy.

Here's a nice video!

https://www.facebook.com/kotaku/posts/10153730072174040 Read the -blam!-ing articles. With microstransactions they can release free content every few months. I kmow I'm sure as hell gonna buy a dance or 2 from her.
-
No they want Microtransactions to give your dumbass free DLC down the road
-
As long as it stops at cosmetics then it's fine, but I think it will creep into a pay to win game soon enough
-
Dude, we are already paying for their people.
-
This is for the people that whined because they didn't get the collectors edition emotes and feel like everyone should be equal without having to pay more money. Hints there "non-essential" uses.
-
They're completely optional. They won't affect gameplay. It will just tell you who wasted their money on dances
-
First off let me turn off your fire. It's cosmetic and it's optional. Don't like it? Don't stop by Tess keep it moving
-
Edited by hezikz: 10/6/2015 12:42:25 PMSimple solution don't buy it? Lol what's the harm in showcasing them?
-
Its basically the same wirth xbox marketplace and game add ons. take it or leave it.
-
Cosmetic items are exactly that. Not essential, like the store in ESO
-
Edited by Wrath_and_Fury: 10/6/2015 12:03:15 PMSomeone doesn't understand the concept of development costs.... It's completely OPTIONAL. If the same thing with MechWarrior Online right now. The game is completely free to play, and every single item in the game you can get without spending a single dollar, but you can buy new mechs with real money (if you dont want to earn the c-bills) and support the game development if you so choose. Microtransactions are there to help defer development costs. Thus reducing the cost of future DLC for those who do not wish to spend the extra money. You're welcome.
-
You sound stupid. You don't need the emotes so just don't buy them ha. Every game has micro transactions just about and usually they have more of an effect than dance moves.
-
It forces people to pay for in game items if you don't want to buy you don't get that's why the majority of the community was upset about the new emotes you get with year2 collectors edition
-
Actually technically it is our job as a player base to support the player base because no funding no game development. Either way you are not forced to buy the emotes and they strictly said it is purely aesthetic. If they then go back on that then I will have a problem
-
You're in no way forced to buy emotes. As long as it stays aesthetics it's fine with me. No reason to complain. Non at all really since you will get some free silver to try some stuff out.
