This community is basically if it kills you twice or more, it's OP and should be nerfed IMMEDIATELY. People said GG and blade dancer were OP. Even though blade dancer did get nerfed, we were used to it in crucible. Honestly if it didn't get nerfed I'd be so used to either almost killing them or killing them it wouldn't make a difference. Especially after so long. If sunbreaker gets nerfed, I could care less. I personally rely more on my gunplay and grenades more than my super anyways.

  • I would never have said my class was OP, but Hunter's were in my opinion designed more for PvP than PvE. Hence, they dominated Crucible in Year 1. Now that the three new subclasses have been added the meta is shifting and people are using certain subclasses for certain game modes. This is how I view the meta, subclass to game type: Voidwalkers, Strikers, Defenders* - Control/Zone Gunslingers, Stormcallers, Sunbreakers* - Clash Bladedancers*, Sunsingers - Rumble Nightstalkers*, Bladedancer, Stormcallers - Rift Gunslingers*, Strikers, Sunbreakers - Skirmish Voidwalkers*, Defenders, Nightstalkers - Salvage Gunslingers, Sunbreakers, Sunsingers* - Elimination/Trails * - denotes deadliest to fight in said game type

  • What an unbelievably awful list

  • How? I was only basing things on subclass strengths and the meta. Can a Nightstalker dominate Rumble? Yes, but realistically a Bladedancer is better

  • Blade dancer is still amazing in all of them. Whether you use blink or not, scanning grenades are still very useful, backstab is awesome, and weapons readying immediately is unbelievably good.

  • Don't misunderstand. I am not saying that these subclasses are only good in these gamemodes. I am saying they are most potent in these gamemodes. As it is, Khepri's Sting (visuals aside) is the best BD exotic as of right now. I am curious how Shinobu's Vow will stack given it's the Nothing Manacles for BDs

Yeah, I gotcha man. The subclass is just so good on bd lol. People never give the subclass credit, only the super, which isn't even very good anymore. Knuckle head radar is love/life though. My favorite exotic for crucible. Btw, I'm really interested to see how ophidian aspect for warlocks will be. I think it could be an awesome exotic.

  • I also play full stealth (even to the point of lazysniping with Patience & Time equip). I stopped using Blink cause it breaks stealth so I was: Flux Nade > Vanish > Vanishing Strike > Shadowjack > Hungering Blade with Khepri's Sting. It was beautiful ambushing players with an OHKO Blink Strike and disappearing again. Sure, good players will track the stealth but even then they'd be slow to react. I currently run with Sealed Ahamkara Grasps for 2 Blink Strikes until they raise Khepri's Sting to Year 2 or I get Shinobu's Vow

  • Lol that sounds fun! I have absolutely no patience for that though. I always was interested in seeing optimization for a build like that. Thanks for sharing.

  • No problem. It does take getting used to: waiting for stealth to activate a few seconds after crounching, knowing when it'll drop, finding the right map routes to ambush players. I've recently found myself stealthing corners with my sword on Rift or Control and -blam!- players as they come by. It's all about going 1v1 and picking off low hp targets

  • Yeah, Hunters were annoying at first. But after playing so much it became less and less so, at least to me. People just like to complain I guess

  • People like complaining about HoS when its only accounts for maybe 2-3 deaths a game.
