Introduction
These are my ideas for what Bungie should do for the future Cabal DLC, Forge of Gods.
This is a huge project I'm working on, and there are links to other posts I've made. I will try to finish them all by January 10, 2016. If Bungie's original plans for FoG aren't that good, this offers them some ideas on how to make it into an awesome DLC. I fully welcome Bungie to implement these ideas into FoG.
Without further adieu, here is everything you need to know about Forge of Gods:
Story
During the Taken war, the last of the Cabal commanders in our solar system were slain. They sent a distress signal, contacting the head of the Cabal empire. In Forge of Gods, they finally arrive, unleash their full scale military might, and seek to harness the power of the darkness to destroy the Traveler and all of its guardians. Even the emperor arrives. It is your duty to stop him in his tracks before he forges himself into a god.
The Cabal are clearly not the only ones who seek the unimaginable power of the darkness. The Vex have built a shrine around a fragment of the darkness (the Black Garden's heart), worshiping it. They bound themselves to it, and it to them, recreating themselves in its image.
The war between the Vex and Cabal has been a war which will decide who wields the ultimate weapon (the darkness). It is a war over godhood.
The Vex and Cabal are the only ones involved. In the House of Wolves trailer, you see a Fallen captain and a servitor on Europa. I predict that Europa will become a playable area in FoG, which consists of Fallen and Cabal. The Cabal legion stationed on Europa is known as the Ice Reapers.
There are two Fallen houses stationed on Europa. The house of Wolves, and a completely new house, known as the house of Dragons.
While the other Fallen houses focus on reclaiming the Great Machine (the Traveler), the Dragons express hatred toward it for abandoning their kind in their time of need. Dreksor, the Kell of Dragons, seeks a new source of power: the darkness. His goal is to use its power to make himself a god, destroy the Traveler, rid the universe of all Cabal and guardians.
As the darkness grows stronger, the Vanguard has no way of eliminating these threats alone. A warmind, however, may be able to turn the tides of war. Many guardians fell, trying to reach out to Rasputin. The only way is to go to Europa and seek assistance from the Nine.
What's new?
- 8 new story missions
- 1 new strike
- 1 new destination: Europa
- 4 new Crucible maps
- 2 new raids (A Cabal raid on Phobos and a Fallen raid on Europa. That way, every species will have a raid.) BOTH RAIDS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE ON XBOX AND PLAYSTATION!!!!!! NO PLAYSTATION EXCLUSIVE RAIDS!!!!!!!!! That would be awful.
- Year 2 Prison of Elders (including Taken)
- 5 New Prison of Elders challenges
- 2 new sparrow racetracks
- Less tedious infusion system
Certain activities will grant you more legendary marks than they used to. The legendary mark cap will increase from 200 to 1000, and the glimmer cap and bounty tracking cap will be doubled. From now on, you don't have to dismantle the same type of gear to infuse. However, if you want to infuse a weapon, you still need to dismantle another weapon. If you want to infuse armor, you still need to dismantle an armor piece or a ghost shell.
- Return of year 1 gear
Upon completing the 2 new raids and the year 2 POE challenges, you'll get an item known as Infusive Light. This can be used on any year 1 legendary. Infusive light does not raise the light level at all. It only gives it the ability to infuse. Using an Infusive light on any House of Wolves weapon or year 1 raid weapon will automatically reforge it, giving it different perks (if Black Hammer wasn't reforged, Black Spindle would be useless).
Vanilla and Dark Below vendor gear will not be reforged when you use Infusive Light.
Using an Infusive Light on a year 1 elemental primary will strip the element away. However, you can get elemental energy cores from the Forge of Gods hard raids and the lv. 42 Prison of Elders. There are 3 types of elemental energy cores, and they can be used on any legendary primary to give it that element.
-New Vehicles
-New Cabal
Psion tracers: Psions that can snipe out of their heads. This does void damage and it replaces the arc blast of normal psions.
Psion cloakers: Psions that emit black shockwaves from their heads. Unlike a normal psion's blue shockwave, a cloaker's shockwave does no damage. Instead, the cloaker aims it at its allies, turning them invisible.
Inferno mines: If you step on one or shoot it, it will erupt into an upward spiral of flames, which will make you have Burning x3.
Inferno grenades: These are used by high ranking Cabal, and they look sort of like Helium Filiments. If you get injured by one, you will have Burning x1.
-New Taken
Taken Colossus: Instead of firing solar missiles, Taken Colossi shoot projectiles with a solid void contrail behind. Once the projectiles hit their target, the colossus flies toward the target and punches the ground (similar movement to Valus Ma'aul).
Taken Dreg: Small in size, but large in teamwork. Taken Dregs can spawn servitor- like entities, which heal all Taken within its range. Killing a servitor shadow causes it to split into 2 shank-like entities that explode with void energy.
Taken scorch captain: A Taken captain with a void scorch cannon.
-New modifiers
Demolition: Heavy weapon damage is favored.
Arc Drought: Arc damage from any source is greatly reduced.
Void Drought: Void damage from any source is greatly reduced.
Solar Drought: Solar damage from any source is greatly reduced.
Shudder: It is much harder to aim when under fire.
Basic: Perks on weapons and armor have no effect.
Terminal: Sprinting speed is increased, but you take more damage while sprinting.
-Some cutscenes in the Forge of Gods story missions will allow you to choose what your guardian says.
-Strike Playlist changes
All year 1 strikes are added back into the Strike Playlist rotation and Weekly Nightfall rotation. All strikes will have a Taken version.
-New weapon type: Battle Rifle
It kind of resembles a Pulse Rifle, only it's in the special slot. Battle Rifles have some pretty noticeable differences from Pulse Rifles, just like Sidearms have differences from Hand Cannons.
Web of Eons: Vault of Glass map
Silver Catacombs: Rasputin map
Frost Fang: Europa map (Fallen themed)

Bump. I commend you on a positive suggestion. You provided an original idea and it wasn't just another bitch post dogging bungie. It's nice to see a post like this on the feedback forums, even though they are few and far between.
