What do Artifacts actually do? Are they just there for light? I think There's gotta be another reason they're here. Maybe certain ones do certain things...? I got an Artifact called "Thanatanaut's Lullaby" (for my warlock) that's description reads "Makes the passage just that much easier." Could this help us somehow? Unlock something that can only be unlocked using Artifacts like this? I found another one that was a blue vex-looking cube thingy (I don't remember the name) but it said someone died trying to bring these cubes to Earth from Venus. Could Artifacts be clues for future references? Keys?
Just thinkin out loud here. What do you guys think about Artifacts? Are they just to help out with light? Or could they be clues/keys etc???

They could definitely be references to the grimoire. Just like how our weapons and armor descriptions have lore in them too. Is that what you meant by keys though? Keys to lore?

They're called artifacts ;-;

Extra piece of armor with stat bonuses and effects. I just use them to boost whatever stat I want higher

Idk but I like "that damn lute". Lol

I could get behind this theory if what relics you get when weren't so random
