It's currently free on Xbox One for Gold XBL members (1.3GB). Was previously free for PS+ gamers.
Also available on 360, PS3, PS4, P.C, Android and iOS.
Has anyone played this exceptionally beautiful, sad, sobering and well made game?
It's a side scrolling stylised puzzle game that is set during the First World War (like any war there was nothing Great about it). There is plenty of facts about the war and let's face it with the plethora of WWII games this makes a nice change.

Played it, you resumed it well. Awsome indie game.

I'm a huge World War One history enthusiast. This game made me cry. That ending. Everything the characters went threw. Brought tears to my eyes

Got it when it came out. Made me cry like a bitch. I really enjoyed it

Planning to play ... Idk ;-; I've been obsessing with ED cause it's resetting on the 6th for official release. By the time I get my name on a few planets and my next ships, I will probably be starting halo 5 Oh fk I planned to do MCC again for preparation. Damn :/ idk

It's free on Xbox now?

Just beat it 5 minutes ago. This games is brilliant. I love how it portrays worst parts of war without even putting a gun in your hand. Its a simple game with interesting puzzles and a very immersive story to it. Best part of it to me were the driving sequences (dodging shells that go with the music is awesome), and the end of chapter 3 when emile does exactly what I was hoping he would do (even if the results of his actions weren't favorable). I give it a solid 9/10 (my only real gripe would be the quick time sequences, however they weren't all too bad). A bit short but amazing for what is there.

I had it on PC but only played the first few stages. Started playing it on Xbox last night. Love the art style. It's a great game
-
I played it on ps4 way back. It's a great game, and the photos and facts about the war in the game are really interesting. I highly recommend it.

360 users only get MGSV:GZ, I am soooooo salty...
-
Surprised me a little, I cant play it for long but it's a fun little game, the story is going to be one of those that tugs the heartstrings with the dog though, something is gonna happen to the dog and I don't want to know what

Got it with PS+, looks like I'm going for a second round on XB1! :)
-
I love it. Some of the puzzles are arguably too easy but the atmosphere and all of the historical facts make up for it

Edited by Carmine100: 10/3/2015 12:42:32 AMThis game is awesome and being a big history freak I said holy shit this game is -blam!-ing good

Edited by FrostD: 10/2/2015 6:39:27 PMThis game made me cringe. Graphic, real world photos with serious context details. Colorful, playful, comedic graphics and gameplay. In my book it's downright disgraceful to show photos of wounded soldiers and the effects of mustard gas only to turn around have the player hitting axis soliders over the head with a wooden spoon.

I love the idea of it.. it's just not my type of game unfortunately.
-
I tried playing it, but it's definitely not my style of game. I might try getting into it eventually.

I cried, like 5 times. That's a lot for me. ;-; The game somehow managed to throw in moments that were funny, and made you laugh, (taxi chase scene 3 for example) then proceeds to drive a knife into your feels, and make you cry the next second, with an art style that somehow complimented both moods perfectly. It's gameplay was phenomenal, and its story just as such. Games usually have one or the other, but this one somehow managed to do both. Tl;dr? Well first off, that wasn't much to read. Secondly; I absolutely loved this game.

Started it last night after finishing up tomb raider. So far it's pretty good. Reminds me a bit of child of light (no surprise considering its the same company). Honestly i was just about to purchase it before they announce it would be free. Ubisoft might get a lot of shit but they are good at making small gems like this.

I got it when it was free for ps+ awhile back didn't finish it but it's a a good game and would recommend it.

Edited by thefourfoldroot: 10/2/2015 6:26:27 PMIt's not really a game I would buy but I got it on ps+ and was very pleasantly surprised. The historical aspect makes it a lot more interested than the gameplay perhaps warrants (it does get repetitive), but the character really shines through. I had a similar experience with a game called never alone. You should look that up too if you haven't played it.

Haven't played it on Xbox yet, but I have the trial on mobile. Pretty good from what I've seen, I like its music and I'm a big fan of the comic book art style. Pretty good story as well for a game with so little dialogue, I was impressed by that.
