Omolon Test Sniper

The Omolon test Sniper (9/30/15) does not seem to be recording my Fallen Captain kills. Is anyone else having this problem? I'd love to resolved this because my Gunsmith reputation is edged up, and ready to rank up and get some sweet loot. Thanks!

I've found it doesn't work on majors...I used the captain in the moth yards on the way to the skywatch
