This is not a post to complain about TTK, although I agree with many of the complaints that I've read. I've also seen as of this morning bungie has replied to one post, and ignored everyone else.
Far be it for me to question what the job of a community manager is, but it seems like it isn't being done.
Regardless, my post is asking about TTK being transferable from Xbox 360 (or PS3) to the Xbox One (or PS4).
Since the price of TTK is quite expensive, paying for it twice when you already own it once seems a bit asinine. The whole reason I bought Destiny and the original expansion pack was KNOWING they were free on the xbox one, well ... I already owned them, so technically it wasnt free, I paid for them, it was just upgraded for free.
Why didnt I buy it on the xbox one in the first place? Because when my partner isnt with me, she is at home, and she doesnt have an xbox one there, She has a 360, so we are able to play it together. Both me and her have paid for the base game and the expansion pass. We also both own TTK although we paid about £15 each for it because Microsoft were awesome.
So the tl;dr is that buying it on the 360 allows us to fireteam together when she isnt with me at home. We use the Xbox One more for single player stuff.
Although I still have access to my stuff, all of the multiplayer and crucible is cut off, many of the strikes are cut off, I dont need to reiterate, you already know what the taken content removes.
SO ... and I ask this full well knowing that it probably wont get an official answer, will The Taken King either be A) free for xbox one (for people who already own it on the 360, obviously) or B) a smaller CHEAPER upgrade fee? Similar in vain to what Minecraft does?

It was known before ttk release. The free digital upgrade was for limited time only.

The pricing is really the only thing I have an issue with, I'm not alone, I know that full well. Thankfully Microsoft are somewhat understanding with this issue, and it enabled us to essentially get TTK for £15. The reasoning was that we purchased the original expansion pass not knowing that most of the content would be either locked out, changed, or removed entirely. It was also not mentioned that this would happen. We paid £50 for the Taken King legendary edition of the game, which includes the expansion pass, Microsoft refunded £35 for the reasoning mentioned above and because it was content we already paid for. Granted, the victim here is Microsoft, they are refunding out of thier own pockets, bungie still gets paid. Fair play to Microsoft for stepping up and understanding these people, at least theres a voice of reason in the middle of this mess.

TTK should transfer for free from a console upgrade. You paid for it once already, and can be found in your account transactions, to force you to pay for it twice is just blatant theft. Even EA does not do that shit.
