Exotic Sword Mission Glitch?

So I have a Void Edge that is 294 and is completely maxed but I have not gotten the quest for the exotic sword? I have no idea why and it's extremely aggravating. Help?

You don't get the quest immediately after infusing your sword above 280. I think you have to wait until the quest appears. If it doesn't appear try checking your abandoned quests
