Nightfall in Year 1 would be worth it based around at least getting a large amount of reputation for your faction. Now you get less reputation than weekly heroic strikes, the drops are completely horrible based on the amount of work players put in to defeat the nightfall. I've only seen one Exotic drop since the first Nightfall since The Taken King release date. A 265 class item, really? 12 strange coins? 260 legendary boots? 255 Auto rifle?
I wouldn't mind completing the Nightfall if it gave me the same amount of reputation it did before or at least the XP bonus you received in Year 1 for the rest of the week after Nightfall completion. I'm aware that Bungie has gone over why they removed the XP bonus, but they're going to see some serious drop in Nightfall attendance if it's not fixed.
Is my clan the only one that's thinking this way?
Fix the system for nightfall to what it was in year 1, which means more exotic chances not terrible legendaries or runes?
(Yes I know RNG means random as F$#@, but they can select the loot that drops randomly in Nightfall, not what you get for any boss from any strike)
Mind you I love the Taken King and what Bungie has done for the game, it's a great expansion but if Nightfall besides the raid is the hardest event you have to complete on a weekly basis than the loot drop should reflect this.
