Well it is more losely based on the game. The game involves a baby. As far as the movie goes allesa or however you spell her name was kind of split in two in a way. When she was born so was the hatred/ rage of her mother which becomes like a doppelganger to allesa. It's a little more complicated than that but I have not watched in a year or so and I'm tired right now so aka dumb.
