Xbox Community is Ruining Our Weapons
So after reading more than three different Hawkmoon nerf post, I'm starting to think that the majority of Xbox players are the ones calling for nerfs.
Since the recent sale of Hawkmoon by Xur, a lot of post regarding a nerf is plaguing these forums. Which leads me to believe that it's them that are the crucibabies that want every good PVP exotic weapon nerfed. I understand that the Thorns two shot kill consistency was an actual issue, and the Last Words ADS bug was also a problem. But bungie ruined them. I've also been hearing that the Hawkmoon "always" two shots.
Hawkmoons so called "Two Shot Kill" is
1. Nothing compared to Thorn where it would happen every time you land head shots
2. Is based on RNG, and solely on RNG. At max you get three! Just three lucky rounds(that were also nerfed) out of 13. So your so called two shot kill is based on luck, as the perk says. So you got the shitty end of it if the opposing player two shot killed you.
My Red Hand IX does 86 precision, and 118 with the luck in the chamber perk. Giving also a two shot potential. Do you want that nerfed as well??
Hawkmoon is not broken, it's exotic perk is just a random, luck based damage modifier.
You bitching and crying for nerfs just because you got two shot killed(based on lucky rounds) is like saying that the guy next you at a casino won a higher pay out than you and you decided to call the police on him because you didn't like that. Are luck RNG based slot machines broken???
Why do you guys immediately cry for nerfs?
Why do you just want everything nerfed?
I don't understand why people like this even exist, do you truly believe that ruining weapons will help pvp?
The Xbox community is ruining our weapons and Bungie should know.

I realized I made a generalization and would like to apologize to those from the Xbox community that don't cry for nerfs. I was just heated and really upset after reading those posts.
Patch 2.0 is actually pretty good, imo, and now the majority of weapons are all viable.
Just seeing more nerf cries lead me to believe it's out of spite and saltiness.
As per zAnonymous he was able to bring forth some good post regarding nerfs to Hawkmoon before Y2
Apologies again for making an ass of myself and generalizing the Xbox community. Still I am against nerfs. They ruin gameplay.

I'm an Xbox player. I don't call for nerfs. Hawkmoon is fine. I agree stop nerfing exotics there suppose to be great not useless people need to stop whining about every other gun.

However I Hate the nerf posts as well, I never asks for nerfs, I Hate when shit gets nerfed, doesn't really hinder my pvp gameplay because I can adapt to different weapons but it really pisses me off on the pve side. You are correct though...scroll through the forums, find a nerf post, 9 times out of ten, it's an Xbox player. The only quarrel I have is the Playstation exclusive maps that are now on xbox, I hate em, with a burning passion, I'm so tired of undying mind for pve and I'm so damn sick of exodus blue for pvp. Xbox players are a bunch of whiny bitches, I know for a fact, I play with some on a daily basis. I swear only an Xbox player would bitch about getting killed by a gun in crucible that he is also using in crucible. Ass backward logic if you ask me. Now if we're talking about systems, I Def prefer the xbone over playatation, yea graphics are better on ps, but I'd rather stick to what I know and feel comfortable with, even if half of xbox players are stupid. If they did cross platforming, I would only choose to play with playstation players.

Iam a proud Xbox player and I have only bitched about needing a nerf once, obviously the thorn because I was sick and tired of not being able to play one trials game without seeing that gun. I resent all other nerfs to guns just like the debuff that was put on auto rifles (forever ago) that made auto rifles completely unviable that was thankfully only recently fixed.

The only reason why people point out Hawkmoon is because Thorne didn't get a year two so they need some weapon to complain about. Console has nothing to do with it. Some choose one for comfort (controller) and some like the title specific games. But ANYONE who cries for a nerf is just rage ranting. 2.0 is a great weapon balanced version of the game. I'm pleased with all weapons.

So don't blame xbox users for this crap if it happened before they were given access to it. When a new gun is released on the platforms people automatically call it OP. Look at felwinters lie for example where everyone said it was highly OP (both consoles). Now if for the xbox community they will complain the hawkmoon is "OP" since its new to them and basically everyone will be running it. People will says its OP since they are see the gun kill them left and right. Bungie will not hammer the gun since they know its new to the xbox players, everyone was just able to purchase it and it was just nerfed right before TTK. They changed it since PS players wanted it and everyone was about to be able to get the gun easily. Weeks before TTK the hawkmoon was updated in the database and said can be purchased from Xur so we all knew it would be easy to get if he sells. Right now a part of the PS community says the Jade Rabbit is OP in the crucible. Some says its not and some say it is. Its all "OP" in players opinions and Bungie waits a long time to act. The surous and thorn took forever to be nerfed when both consoles wanted the nerfs. Also both communities cry about things needing nerfs and you can easily find tons of forums from both platforms

2 RepliesOh shut up with the console war bullshit. It's been a common theme that whenever Xur sells a good PvP weapon, the forums blow up with posts asking for nerfs. I knew PS4 players that never got a Hawkmoon, so you have to remember it's more than just XBox players picking up that gun last week. And just because Thorn was OP last time doesn't mean it's ok for a new gun to be abused.

As a xbox player, I have to agree with you. Whether it be nerfing a weapon, or whining about some other game mechanic. People always seem to think whining on the forums is the best solution... And even then, you can rarely have a decent argument with them, with them being so closed minded. I know this shouldn't represent our xbox community... But, much like the destiny community, a few bad apples spoil us all.

I agree. Anytime someone calls for a nerf, it is nearly always the PvP players who got killed by it who want that done. "I got killed by Gally, nerf it." "I got killed by TLW, nerf it." "I got killed by Thorn, nerf it." "I got killed by Universal Remote, nerf it." It's just a bunch of whiny crybabies who died to a certain weapon in the crucible and want it nerfed because they want their own weapon to be the only one that wasn't nerfed to being totally useless. Why doesn't Bungie go by actual balance issues in the game rather than showing that they "listen to the playerbase". I can only see this going the way of pre-split Warframe where every useful weapon was nerfed to uselessness just because someone died to it in PvP.

I've said this in other posts: the forums are a bad representation of the entire Destiny community. Mainly because a big portion of the destiny community doesn't use the forums. Be honest with me and tell me how many Xbox players did you see wanting a nerf for hawkmoon. Because no matter what that number is I'll tell you it's a poor representation of the Destiny Xbox community. I learned this in stats: a large sample doesn't necessarily correctly represent the destiny Xbox population well. Your data is most likely bias. Probably voluntary response bias. Don't know what your talking about I play Xbox and I have no idea why these people think it needs a nerf. Just a heads up I got my Hawkmoon from a exotic engram drop like a week before he sold it. It is not overpowered and anyone who is from Xbox community demanding a nerf is a idiot and doesn't speak for me.
