Yeah the Earth will survive. But will the ecosystem? The amount of resources we are using in every aspect of life is not sustainable at its current rate. I don't see us changing unless we are forced to do so....Too much money and power involved.
Sure, we are fine in our lifetime but I also think most people greatly underestimate the amount of damage we are doing and how much it will effect our future.

some of the worse evebts that happend to earth wiped out 90 percent of life and that was befor the dinosaurs so earth and the ecosystem will heal.
